Listing Update: Passed the 900-Hunt Mark on HGP With New Texas Outfitters and Hunts Added
This Week We Added Seven New Texas Outfitters to the Platform
The diversity of hunting opportunities in Texas is staggering. From pig hunts in the East Texas piney woods, to dove and quail in Central & South Texas, to crane hunting in the panhandle, to trophy whitetail in the hill country, waterfowl on the coastal plain, not to mention all the exotic ranches...this state has it all. It is this wide variety that makes the powerful HuntGuidePro filtering so important. If you want to find a *free range* quail hunt as opposed to a released bird hunt in Texas, you can find it. If you want exclusively a thermal hog hunt with lodging and meals included, you can find that too.

- Axis deer hunts are on 65,000 acres in the Hill Country. They are free range. They can be hunted all year, but the main season is May-August where most of the bucks will have the hard antlers.
- Free roaming Nilgai hunts are done in South Texas on 15,000 acres. These are spot & stalk hunts. They say this is the most challenging hunt that they offer, but also advertise a high success rate.

Two other hog & exotic outfitters
- 4 Amigos Ranch offers a 3 day hog hunt out of Eagle Pass, Texas (2.5 hours West of San Antonio, right on the Mexico boarder) for around $1,000, but there also seem to be some add-on fees like required guide fees.
- Independence Ranch in Waelder, Texas (between Houston and San Antonio) offers a range of exotic hunts and a variety of hog hunting formats. They offer what might be the shortest hunts we've seen so far: a 3-hour hog hunt for $149, up to a day hunt for $275, and then 2- and 3- day hog hunts for $499 and $599, respectively. These seem to be primarily blind-based hunts, but have an option for spot and stalk as well.
