Our team of bay dogs will be turned out on the scent trail of the hogs, and will run until they find them. We suit up pit bulls with kevlar vests and make our approach. The bay dogs corral the hog until we can send in a catch dog from less than 50 yards away. We follow immediately behind the catch dog and send a client or guide in to grab the back legs of the hog while another client dispatches the wild pig with a knife. These hunts can range over hundreds of yards. Hunters should expect to walk up to 3 miles. Getting to the dogs is urgent for their safety and our success. A management mule deer buck in our area is a mature buck that scores 150 inches or below. Many people might consider a buck this size to be a trophy, and in our opinion, any mature mule deer buck is. By following intensive management practices and only harvesting bucks that are 6 years or older, we have been able to see incredible growth in our mule deer population that allows us to offer management hunts for bucks of this calibre.
Our Texas panhandle mule deer hunts are located northeast of Lubbock, TX in Motley County and Dickens County. The terrain is made up of rolling plains with drastic elevation changes consisting of cedar brakes, shinnery oak rangeland and sandy loamy rolling hills with a mix of mesquite and cedar trees. The dry landscape is broken up by many water sources, including natural springs, creeks, ponds, and solar water wells.

Deep in the heart of Texas lies one of the most unique destinations and hunting experiences you can imagine. We specialize in thermal hunting for South Texas wild hog and limited exotic species using fair chase methods. Traditional daytime and afternoon hunting from blinds is available during the daylight hours, but after dark is where the real fun begins.
Early morning coffee and out to the blind before sunrise to try to catch the hogs coming to the morning feeder and water holes. Return to lodge mid-morning for full breakfast, and enjoy a little relax time around the lodge, enjoy the long range rifle range. We serve a late lunch and then it’s out to the blind again for the afternoon/evening hunt which usually runs from an hour before sunset to an hour after. Return to the lodge for a full dinner. From dark to the early morning hours we use our thermal scopes and feeding program to attract and harvest as many wild hogs as possible.

The McCune Ranch Property is about 600 acres in size. We do not offer high fence or pinned animals to hunt. The property is a mix of heavily wooded areas, stock ponds, pastures with creeks and a swamp running across the property. The creeks and swamp flow into the Sabine River a short distance away. Texas Style THERMAL hog hunting trips are typically structured as “spot and stalk” type hunts that start just before sundown. Our experienced guides will take hunters of any skill level through our safety course so they can feel totally ready for their night time hog experience. Over the course of four hours, we take hunting vehicles to multiple wild hog hunting areas, including both low fence and hunting preserve properties. Hunters will get the chance to scan the area with thermal and night vision devices in order to spot hogs and coyotes, as well as other non target species. Our team of bay dogs will be turned out on the scent trail of the hogs, and will run until they find them. We suit up pit bulls with kevlar vests and make our approach. Texas Style THERMAL hog hunting trips are typically structured as “spot and stalk” type hunts that start just before sundown. Our experienced guides will take hunters of any skill level through our safety course so they can feel totally ready for their night time hog experience. Over the course of four hours, we take hunting vehicles to multiple wild hog hunting areas, including both low fence and hunting preserve properties. Hunters will get the chance to scan the area with thermal and night vision devices in order to spot hogs and coyotes, as well as other non target species. Once hogs are spotted, your Texas hunting adventure is about to get WILD! We try to stalk up less than 75 yards from our target. When you book a hunt with us your group will be the only hunting party on the property. Your hunting guide is dedicated to making sure you have a good experience on the ranch and will be available to help you for a successful wild hog hunt.
The McCune Ranch Property is about 600 acres in size. We do not offer high fence or pinned animals to hunt. The property is a mix of heavily wooded areas, stock ponds, pastures with creeks and a swamp running across the property. The creeks and swamp flow into the Sabine River a short distance away. This provides an endless supply of Free Range Texas Wild Hogs from the Sabine River bottoms.
At McCune Ranch Outfitters your hunting guide will be available to transport you to your hunting location.

Our South Texas free-roaming Nilgai hunts take place on over 15,000 acres of historic Yturria Ranch located in Kenedy and Willacy Counties on the Coastal Plains of South Texas. Founded in 1858, it is still a working cattle ranch stewarded by the Yturria family. This area of South Texas is home to an incredible amount of Nilgai Antelope, Whitetail Deer, Javelina, and Rio Grande Turkeys. West Texas Dove Hunt - Day Hunt
This outfitter specializes in full-service dove hunts with great accommodations and meals. We are located in Victoria County, two hours south /west of Houston. The area has a tremendous amount of agriculture, with milo, corn, and soybean fields available to hunt, as well as our own fields that we plant and manipulate.
Our hunts are primarily over milo, millet, soybean, and sunflower fields specifically planted and manipulated for dove hunting. We also hunt over water holes when conditions are right.
