The McCune Ranch Property is about 600 acres in size. We do not offer high fence or pinned animals to hunt. The property is a mix of heavily wooded areas, stock ponds, pastures with creeks and a swamp running across the property. The creeks and swamp flow into the Sabine River a short distance away. This provides an endless supply of Free Range Texas Wild Hogs from the Sabine River bottoms.

You'll have a hard time choosing which one to take down! We set up strategically placed blinds in known travel, feeding and watering areas. If the hunter is capable, we really love the excitement of a great spot and stalk to hunt our wild hogs. Shoot as many hogs as you like, as this is an unlimited hog hunt but we only clean and quarter one hog with the package. The terrain consist of dense mesquite-filled, rugged pastures, food plots, river bottoms and 72 freshwater lakes where the abundant wild game has easy access to water, cover and food. Wild Quail Hunt in Texas - All Inclusive
Whether you’re a seasoned bird hunter or new to the sport, there’s nothing quite like an action filled day of Texas quail hunting. Guest will arrive after 5PM on the evening before their first days hunt and supper will be served later that evening. The next morning you will have breakfast and head out for the quail hunt as the sun is rising. Around Noon you will break and head back to the lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation. When you hunt with First Shot Outfitters, you'll find that That no one works harder to be sure you are on the hottest field around. With over 50 fields of prime dove feeding areas such as sunflower, Milo, and wheat, we offer a variety of shooting options. The property also offers some great watering areas for the doves within a 75 miles radius of Coleman. Our seasoned guides are scouting non-stop to ensure that your group is hunting the best and most active fields so you can bag your limits. Most hunters get their limit in the morning but some like to drag it out and make it a full day of fun. We take pride in making sure that each group has ample room to spread out and enjoy a variety of shooting positions. We specialize in thermal hunting for South Texas wild hog and limited exotic species using fair chase methods. Traditional daytime and afternoon hunting from blinds is available during the daylight hours, but after dark is where the real fun begins.
Early morning coffee and out to the blind before sunrise to try to catch the hogs coming to the morning feeder and water holes. Return to lodge mid-morning for full breakfast, and enjoy a little relax time around the lodge, enjoy the long range rifle range. We serve a late lunch and then it’s out to the blind again for the afternoon/evening hunt which usually runs from an hour before sunset to an hour after. Return to the lodge for a full dinner. From dark to the early morning hours we use our thermal scopes and feeding program to attract and harvest as many wild hogs as possible.
