Arizona is known for its monster muleys. Not only does the Arizona Strip and the Kaibab hold monster mule deer but the high country and vast southern desert bucks hold some records too. The most abundant deer in Arizona is the Rocky Mountain Mule Deer. Mule deer are found on all terrains from the low southern deserts to high forested northern and eastern mountains. Generally these mule deer prefer the more rugged Arizona high country and southeastern areas.
A western archery mule deer hunt during the peak of the rut is a bow hunter's dream. When the mule deer come into rut, generally in mid December and January in the lower elevations, it's exciting to hunt them with your bow because their sense of awareness is only concentrated on their doe. Either in the high country forest or the high/low desert terrain your shots will range from 40 out to 70 yards. With precision and accuracy, you will have a higher chance of a successful harvest. The Ultimate Alaska Combo Hunt: Dall Sheep, Brown Bear, Black Bear, and Caribou, 10 day
Sheep opens August 10th and most the sheep are harvested the first 10 days of the season. The King and Red Salmon runs have both typically hit by now which brings a lot of new Brown/Grizzlies to the area. Best time of year for Brown/Grizzly Bear. A second Brown/Grizzly Bear may be harvested for an addition trophy fee of $5000 and second Black Bear for $750.
Hunt fees include equipped camps, guide services, transportation in the field, meals, and field preparation of trophies. Fees do not include your license, big game tags, transportation round trip to Rainy Pass Lodge (at this time $1200 per person & subject to change), hotel accommodations, before, during, or after the hunt, or gratuities. Weather permitting you will be flown to the lodge the day before your hunt and you will leave the lodge the day after your hunt.
We welcome your non-hunting guests along to photograph, video, or just tag along to share in your hunt. We do have limited accommodations for this and it must be arranged ahead of time. The cost for a non-hunting guest is $8,500.

The elk in our territory are Rocky Mountain Elk, which have the largest antlers of any subspecies of elk. These elk can be hunted with rifle or bow, with a guide or on your own.
The elk in this area live in varied environments from ravines and gullies to clearcuts and meadows. They are adaptable animals, living in every area in our hunting territory. Depending on the season, they may be living deep in the mountains, making for an engaging and involved hunting experience, or they may be located minutes from camp.
September is archery elk hunting season, getting you up close and personal with these great animals. The weather is agreeable in September, ranging from the high 30s at night to around 75F during the day. You'll need to bring your rain gear just in case, there are often several days of rain during September.

10-Day Brown Bear and Mountain Goat Hunt in Cardova, Alaska - Fall
All Brown Bear hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. Depending on where you are hunt in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Brown Bear spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Brown Bear country can be in a variety of areas, from 5000 foot mountain tops to the coastal areas of the North gulf coast. I have a saying, bears are where bears are, which can be everywhere.
Once your trophy is taken, it is tagged, skinned peeled and then packed out to the extraction point. Once Brown Bear hide and skull are back at the lodge, it is fleshed, ears and lips are turned, along with knuckles and tail out, it is than salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of my spring season.

At the Tsiu, we hunt Brown Bears April through May and September through October. (Ursus Arctos- Latin Name) With the abundance of a rich food source in the Cordova area, such as Salmon, Moose, Mt Goats and unlimited sea life along the coast, the Brown Bears can reach weights of up to 1500 pounds. Here at the Cordova area, we hunt Brown Bears April through May and September through October. My guide use area near Cordova consist of several land owners, such as Chugach National Forest Service, BLM and State of Alaska lands, in which I am fully permitted for to conduct guide hunts. This guide use area that we hunt on permits each hunter to harvest one Brown each regulatory year, which does not count against the harvest of one (l) Brown every (4) years, like in other parts of Alaska (like Kodiak Island and Alaskan Peninsula).
Here at the Tsiu River Lodge we strive to take male brown bear 9 foot or larger and have taken many bears 10 foot plus over the year with many skulls over 28 plus, with some over 29 inches. Remember, one of my goals as your professional hunter, is for you to achieve your trophy of course. But the most important goal for me as your professional hunter, is to conduct a safe, enjoyable, most of all, memorable safari adventure.
Once your trophy Mt. Goat is taken, it is then tagged, skinned peeled, quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Mt. Goat meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova, that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Mt. Goat meat back with you, the meat will be donated to a local elders or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once Mt. Goat hide and horns are back at the lodge, hide is fleshed, ears, lips, nose, tail are turned and hooves knuckles are out, it is then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of October.
(Oreamnos Americanus-Latin Name) Cordova Mt. Goat population is one of the healthiest in the state of Alaska. With some of our horn genetics being one of the best in Alaska. Many of our clients receiving top awards each year during the APHA/SCI program for top scoring Mt. Goat trophies. In Cordova, our goals have been to work with local area biologist, in harvesting selected areas for trophies by a permit system, with intent not to over harvest and focus on Billy harvest only. We strive to harvest Billie’s 8 1/2 inches or better. Our average has been 9 inches or better in recent years, with a few in the 11 inches class. We have 2 classes of Billie’s in our area, normally Billie’s weighting in 285 to 325 pounds and then we have “Buffalo Billie’s” weighing in at nearly 400 pounds, a bigger genetics Mt. Goat.

Quail hunting in Alabama, and across the Southeast is world-famous. At our lodge you will experience the finest quail hunting the South has to offer. Much of the bobwhite quail hunting now takes place on commercial ranches or preserves. Lodges in the Black Belt region offer shooting in various styles, including the traditional mule drawn wagon, horseback, quail buggies, and walkabouts. The hunting season in Alabama generally runs mid-October through March 30. There still exists some public lands where hunting is prized, however it’s likely you will need a local to show you such locations.

Montana is known for producing high numbers of color phase black bears, on average over 60% of our bears are either brown, cinnamon, or blonde. We only hunt using spot and stalk tactics. A spring bear hunt can be one of the most enjoyable and beautiful times of the year to hunt in Montana. The weather is nice, the mountains are vibrant with spring colors and there are usually lots of other animals to see during your hunt. Deer, Elk, Moose, etc.
We take a limited number of hunters each year to maximize the quality and success of our hunts. We spend the day glassing from vantage points in order to locate a bear that is in a good position for a stalk. Weather can play a big factor in day to day movement but our hunters typically see multiple bears during their hunt. A spot and stalk hunt in the mountains of Montana can be physically demanding, similar to an elk hunt.
If you arrive in good shape you will have a much better chance of being successful. Our hunt area is very open country and we can see for great distances, this helps us spot bears but makes for some longer shot opportunities. To give yourself the best chance of being successful you should be comfortable shooting out to 300 yards.

All-Inclusive 4-Day Trophy Whitetail Hunt
The Gopher Plantation offers Whitetail Deer Hunting in Georgia on over 8,000 private owned acres that spans over diverse habitats. There are over 100 tower stands strategically located throughout the hunting property. The deer hunting stands are all equipped with metal roofs to keep rain and other elements from mother nature off the hunters during their hunt. The rifle tower stands are all equipped range from 4’x4’ to 4’x6’ in size and are approximately 10’ high to the platform. Every tower hunting stand has office chairs to ensure a comfortable sit every hunt. Most of our tower stands are 4’x6’ and these deer hunting stands are great for sharing the hunt with family or a friend.
We also have permanent and pop-up ground blinds for hunters that physically can’t climb elevated stands. In the case of bow hunters there are ladder stands available and maintained each hunting season. We require a safety harness to whitetail deer hunt from ladder stands. Every deer hunting stand has a food plot and or a feed spot/feeder. These feed spots and feeders are fed year-round, not just during deer hunting season. The Gopher Plantation staff plants over 200 acres of food plots each year to ensure the whitetail have adequate feed throughout the season.

Wolverine Hunt With Horses or Snowmobiles (Sep-Mar)
These hunts are conducted primarily by snowmobile in GMU’s 13 and 20. I run three different traplines encompassing over three hundred miles. If the hunter would like an opportunity to harvest a Lynx or Wolverine they will have to come join me in the dead of the Alaskan winter (December – February). I won’t promise warm weather but I will guarantee you some of the most scenic snowmobiling on earth and lots of it!
Wolf hunting Alaska style is always rewarding. We will do some calling for predators as well as setting traps and snares in locales that are likely spots to produce results. Typically we will snowmobile between 50-150 miles a day in search of Wolves, Wolverine, Lynx, Coyote and Fox. If you are looking to only do wolf hunting in Alaska then later in the winter is the prime time. We will stay at several of my cabins for two and three day stints looking for predators to call and/or trap.

Spring or Fall Rio Grande Turkey Hunt - Day Hunt on Public
To put it mildly – we love our turkey hunting. Turkeys in California are expanding their range every year, opening up new opportunities. In the areas we hunt it’s typically considered the Rio Grande subspecies of wild turkey. We offer spring California wild turkey hunts where you can experience your heart pound as a longbeard struts into view. We can also put you on an autumn turkey which requires a different approach but can easily be combined with several other hunting opportunities.
We offer hunts on exclusive private ranches in the beautiful oak woodlands of California and also on public forestland where you can match wits with a truly wild mountain turkey. The choice is yours.
Spring California Wild Turkey Hunts:
Usually in February the male turkeys begin to gobble and that’s when we start hitting the hills listening and looking for strutting zones and roost trees. A day in the spring turkey woods is like magic. It starts early in the morning where we will set up near a roost tree long before first light. When the songbirds begin to sing their spring rituals is right about when the ring of gobbles echo from atop the roost trees. We will begin some light calling sequences to let the birds know there is a hen nearby. After the turkeys fly down it won’t be long before we will know if the plan worked out.
Getting turkeys soon after they land on the ground from the roost is an excellent tactic. Some folks end the hunt after the morning thunder turns silent. We don’t stop there. If everyone in the group hasn’t got their bird we will hunt all day. In our experience hunting gets better as the late morning turns to afternoon. If you can get a gobble out of a turkey at 2 pm, that’s a bird that wants to play.
Legal shoot time for spring turkey ends at 5 pm. On multi-day hunts the group is welcome to go and relax for the afternoon or join the guide to try and roost some birds in the evening for the next morning hunt.
Fall California Wild Turkey Hunts:
Fall turkey hunting takes a different approach. A common method is to break up the flocks of young-of-the-year turkeys that are still with the hen and use an assembly call to bring them back in. This technique doesn’t work so well for big Tom turkeys because they aren’t in the flocks with the young birds. The big turkeys are either alone or in bachelor groups. To kill a longbeard in autumn requires pre-season scouting to understand where they are loafing, feeding, and roosting. Our guides spend countless hours in the fall turkey woods observing sign and marking fall territories. When the season arrives it’s all about being in a strategic location to intercept the turkeys as they move about. Glassing openings and sneaking into shooting range also can be an effective method.
The great thing about a fall turkey hunt is that there are so many other species that can be hunted at the same time, that live in the same region – including, mountain quail, valley quail, dove, squirrel, rabbit, gray fox, coyote, raccoon, bear, or even fishing. There is never any downtime in November and early December.

You will be able to hunt four private ranches (55,000 acres) along with approximately one thousand acres of BLM land, reaching an altitude of well over 10,000 feet. Our elk hunts are fair chase, and the terrain and scenery are breathtaking. With only 36% of Jackson County being private property, pressured elk to seek out the protection of private lands for safety, which is where the majority of our hunting takes place. Our ranches are on the fringes of the timber and offer significant agriculture opportunities, making this prime free-range elk habitat very productive for our hunters. The elk herd stands at almost 20 bulls for 100 cow elk. The Colorado Department of Wildlife’s studies show this ratio is increasing, which means your opportunity for a bull is significantly higher than public lands throughout other parts of Colorado. In 2018, studies showed that the harvest success rate for all elk across the state was around 18%; in the last five years, our success rate was far better than the state average.
Specifically, you will be hunting just outside of the towns of Rand and Coalmont, CO. Rand is located about 3 hours Northwest of Denver at the base of Parkview Mountain at the south end of the North Park Region of Colorado. Coalmont is located 25 miles to the west of Rand and sits at the Eastern end of the Rabbit Ears Pass. The North Park Region is surrounded by mountain crests of the Park Range, Medicine Bow Range, and Never Summer Range. This area offers open sagebrush country and willow flat marshes surrounded by aspen, fir, and pine forests, reaching elevations beyond the tree line. When hunting with Duck Down Guide Service, you should expect a quality hunting experience with a professional hardworking guide.
Upon meeting your guide at the agreed location, you and your crew will load your gear in a crew cab side by side or boat and your guide will drive you to the blind or hunting location. All firearms should remain unloaded until seated in the blind and your guide is ready to hunt. For your safety and the benefit of the hunt, nobody shoots until your guide calls the shot.
We want everyone to enjoy their experience, so we ask that everyone listen and take the advice given to you by your hunting guide.

Your stay with Fins and Feathers guide service will take place at the “ranch house.” The 4 bedroom 3 bath home is nestled in some of the most beautiful country that Douglas County has to offer. In the spring the surrounding hills and pastures are covered in fresh green grass. Oak trees covered in moss line the road to the lodge, among them you will find blooming daffodils in the spring and fall brings an array of autumn colors. No matter what season it is the setting is beautiful. The house has two televisions, one in the family room and the other in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a separate entrance, deck, and hot tub.
Each morning a guide will wake you up and let you know how much time you have until your departure. Ronnie, Craig’s mom, or Becky, will do the majority or the cooking during your stay. Occasionally the staff at Applebee’s pitches in. Breakfast will be available along with coffee and other beverages. Meals are flexible and we do our best to accommodate your taste. Lunch is always available; however it will not always be served at the house. If you are with us during Turkey season we may be eating in town at lunch time because a lot of the hunting leases are a bit of a drive from the house. Dinner will be served each evening when your hunt is complete.
The house has two family rooms one with the television and the other a fireplace and two couches. Everyone here at the house strives to make your stay a lasting memory. We all enjoy what we do and getting to know all our guests. If you find pleasure in walking, the road’s on the ranch will be sure to satisfy you.

Western Illinois Free Range Whitetail Hunt - Archery Late Season
The acres your hunt will take place on are very strictly managed. South Fork hunters are required to harvest at minimum 140 inch, 3 ½ year old bucks. Having these practices in place for years has only made a good thing that much better. In addition to the doe’s that our hunters harvest, we take heard surveys that enable us to go through late season and remove doe’s in highly populated areas. As a whole – the areas you will be hunting have an excellent doe-to-buck ratio (2 or 3-to-1). Hunter to acre ratio is also very important. Low pressure is a huge part of harvesting mid-west whitetail deer. Here at South Fork, we keep ample ground for the numbers of hunters we run, with some farms not being hunted for entire seasons. This is all to ensure South Fork ground will remain the best of the best.
We take stand location very seriously. This is crucial when getting close to giant Illinois bruisers. The wind and thermals are taken into consideration on every set. The stand set ups are for stealth entry and exits. Stand location is one of the biggest keys to a successful hunt- second only to having a piece of great managed whitetail ground. All stands are set by South Fork Guides that have years of experience and the bucks to prove it! The rule of thumb we live by is “if we wouldn’t hunt it, we won’t hang it!” We are as excited to get you into the stand that we hung, as you are to be in it. It’s like we are hunting with you. Our sets consist of hang–on’s with climbing sticks (20′-25′); ladder stands (16′-20′); shooting houses (7′-10′); and assorted ground blinds. We utilize over 70+ Shadowhunter Blinds to provide our gun hunters with a comfortable and solid shooting setup. Guided Alaska brown bear hunting is awesome. The Alaskan Brown Bear is the most coveted trophy on the North American continent. Sportsmen from around the world come to Alaska to hunt the biggest and most powerful of all bears, the Alaskan Brown bear. When you see these bears walk across the Alaskan tundra you cannot help but be in awe. Just seeing them will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Hunting them provides great excitement and a trip you will never forget.
The brown bear season starts in August. I conduct hunts through the end of September in southwestern Alaska. I specialize in hunting the big brown bears. These bears are big, powerful and must be respected. My hunting area boasts a high brown bear population density. If you have ever wanted to take a brown bear, come hunting with me.
I hunt out of spike camps. This puts us close to where the action is. We will be camped where preseason scouting has indicated bear activity and where I believe we can hunt effectively. We will do all of our hunting on these hunts in hunting boots, not waders, and do a lot of glassing hillsides, mountains, and drainages.
Unless other arrangements are made, I will be your guide. In a perfect world, an employee would care about the business as much as the owner. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. I do all of my own guiding unless other arrangements are made. It is comforting for you to know that the guy who is cashing your check (me) is the same guy who will accompany you in the field (me). I put my reputation on the line every time I cash a check.
When researching a hunt, you should ask to speak with ALL of the clients who hunted the same time you are considering hunting the previous year. It is foolish to consider booking a hunt with an outfitter before you speak with hunters who have hunted the same time and place during the previous season. It is important to know ahead of time what you are getting for your money. I am proud of the attention I give each client before, during, and after the hunt. Most importantly, DON'T CONSIDER BOOKING A HUNT WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT WILLING TO GIVE YOU PHONE NUMBERS AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESSES OF ALL OF THEIR CLIENTS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
The state regulations require salvaging the head and hide only on brown bears. I encourage hunters to take home the meat of brown bears in the "ethics" mind set. I am picking up the tab to ship the meat back to Anchorage because I like to see hunters make some use out of the meat. It is not required, but I encourage it.

These are among the most rugged Montana elk hunts, and we often describe them as “extreme” hunts. Our hunts are guided in the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Swan Valley areas of Montana off of horseback. Our guides and horses have been preparing and getting shape all summer long on backcountry pack trips; elk season is what they’ve been waiting for!

Pronghorn are found through the state but the quality of these bucks are located in the northern & eastern part of the state. Our most productive method of hunting these unique animals is Spot and Stock. On this particular hunt we spend a great deal of time glassing, trying to locate the buck of your choice.
The key to harvesting a quality buck on these hunts is the preseason scouting with the addition and the ability to accurately field judge these bucks correctly. We hunt the open country, cedar flats, and the tall pines of northern & eastern Arizona, so long distance shooting is a must. It is not uncommon to take rifle shots over 400 yards on a antelope. We recommend a flat shooting rifle cartridge, a good high-power rifle scope and a mounted bi-pod, or a tall standing tripod. The spot and stalk hunting methods are mainly used for our rifle and muzzleloader hunts.

This 5 or 7-day hunt is the rugged western hunt you’ve always wanted. You'll ride horses or ATVs into the wilderness to find your elk, and return each day to home-cooked meals and warm wall tents.
The elk in our territory are Rocky Mountain Elk, which have the largest antlers of any subspecies of elk. These elk can be hunted with rifle or bow, with a guide or on your own.
The elk in this area live in varied environments from ravines and gullies to clearcuts and meadows. They are adaptable animals, living in every area in our hunting territory. Depending on the season, they may be living deep in the mountains, making for an engaging and involved hunting experience, or they may be located minutes from camp.
September is archery elk hunting season, getting you up close and personal with these great animals. The weather is agreeable in September, ranging from the high 30s at night to around 75F during the day. You'll need to bring your rain gear just in case, there are often several days of rain during September.
October - November is rifle elk hunting season, which includes our horse camp guided hunts and our lodge guided hunts. This month is chilly, with temperatures in the low 20s to the high 50s. Bring your cold-weather gear, these hunts are a late autumn adventure you don't want to miss.

Bearpaw Outfitters offer guided and unguided coyote hunts and coyote hunting information for numerous areas in Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington. Coyotes can be hunted year around in all four states and they can be hunted in combination with other species which may be in season. Bearpaw Outfitters know the best hotspots for hunting Coyotes and they also lease thousands of acres of the best private ranches for their hunts. Any necessary licenses are sold over the counter, hunters of any age can buy licenses in Washington. Spring or Fall Rio Grande Turkey Hunt - 3 Day Hunt on Public
To put it mildly – we love our turkey hunting. Turkeys in California are expanding their range every year, opening up new opportunities. In the areas we hunt it’s typically considered the Rio Grande subspecies of wild turkey. We offer spring California wild turkey hunts where you can experience your heart pound as a longbeard struts into view. We can also put you on an autumn turkey which requires a different approach but can easily be combined with several other hunting opportunities.
We offer hunts on exclusive private ranches in the beautiful oak woodlands of California and also on public forestland where you can match wits with a truly wild mountain turkey. The choice is yours.
Spring California Wild Turkey Hunts:
Usually in February the male turkeys begin to gobble and that’s when we start hitting the hills listening and looking for strutting zones and roost trees. A day in the spring turkey woods is like magic. It starts early in the morning where we will set up near a roost tree long before first light. When the songbirds begin to sing their spring rituals is right about when the ring of gobbles echo from atop the roost trees. We will begin some light calling sequences to let the birds know there is a hen nearby. After the turkeys fly down it won’t be long before we will know if the plan worked out.
Getting turkeys soon after they land on the ground from the roost is an excellent tactic. Some folks end the hunt after the morning thunder turns silent. We don’t stop there. If everyone in the group hasn’t got their bird we will hunt all day. In our experience hunting gets better as the late morning turns to afternoon. If you can get a gobble out of a turkey at 2 pm, that’s a bird that wants to play.
Legal shoot time for spring turkey ends at 5 pm. On multi-day hunts the group is welcome to go and relax for the afternoon or join the guide to try and roost some birds in the evening for the next morning hunt.
Fall California Wild Turkey Hunts:
Fall turkey hunting takes a different approach. A common method is to break up the flocks of young-of-the-year turkeys that are still with the hen and use an assembly call to bring them back in. This technique doesn’t work so well for big Tom turkeys because they aren’t in the flocks with the young birds. The big turkeys are either alone or in bachelor groups. To kill a longbeard in autumn requires pre-season scouting to understand where they are loafing, feeding, and roosting. Our guides spend countless hours in the fall turkey woods observing sign and marking fall territories. When the season arrives it’s all about being in a strategic location to intercept the turkeys as they move about. Glassing openings and sneaking into shooting range also can be an effective method.
The great thing about a fall turkey hunt is that there are so many other species that can be hunted at the same time, that live in the same region – including, mountain quail, valley quail, dove, squirrel, rabbit, gray fox, coyote, raccoon, bear, or even fishing. There is never any downtime in November and early December.

Ten Day Moose Hunt
Our moose hunts take place in GMU 20A in the Central Alaska Range and are in some of the most dense moose numbers in the state. The Alaska Range Bulls are known for having the classic tall (canoe paddle) palms as well as having nice fronts/brow palms/tines. We have taken several Bulls over the years whose outside spread on their brow palms has been over 65″! We typically take Moose in the high 50″ to mid 60″ range. The moose have been holding a steady population and we enjoy one of the longest seasons in the state at 25 days.
A Moose hunt entails riding or walking to a prominent knob overlooking a vast amount of country looking for that distinctive flash of a trophy Moose palm. Once a Moose has been spotted that a hunter finds desirable, a stalk will be planned or if they are in a rutting mood we call one over as close as you would like I can assure you! Once the Moose has been dispatched, you will appreciate the guides skill at preparing your trophy as well as the care of the meat. Then you’ll really appreciate the horses that will pack this largest member of the Deer family back to one of the camps!
Moose can typically be taken within walking distance of either of my camps and if the hunter doesn’t want to use a horse, a 30 minute to 45 minute hike from either camp will put you on any number of “Moose knobs” that have consistently produced trophy bulls for all the years I have been doing this. It is a very rare occasion that we have to “spike” out for a Moose hunt and you get to enjoy the nice accommodations of my main camps including awesome hearty home cooked meals heavy on the portions and heavenly on the taste! Like any of my hunts, these hunts can be physically demanding and the hunter should come prepared mentally as well as physically. My guides and I will give you a 110% all the time to make your hunt a success; we ask that you do the same. There is also a $10,000 trophy fee.

10-Day Tsiu River Brown Bear and Black Bear Hunt in Cardova - Fall
All Brown Bear hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. Depending on where you are hunt in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Brown Bear spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Brown Bear country can be in a variety of areas, from 5000 foot mountain tops to the coastal areas of the North gulf coast. I have a saying, bears are where bears are, which can be everywhere.
Once your trophy is taken, it is tagged, skinned peeled and then packed out to the extraction point. Once Brown Bear hide and skull are back at the lodge, it is fleshed, ears and lips are turned, along with knuckles and tail out, it is than salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of my spring season.

Here at the Cordova area, we hunt Brown Bears April through May and September through October. My guide use area near Cordova consist of several land owners, such as Chugach National Forest Service, BLM and State of Alaska lands, in which I am fully permitted for to conduct guide hunts. This guide use area that we hunt on, permits each hunter to harvest one Brown each regulatory year, which does not count against the harvest of one (1) Brown every (4) years, like in other parts of Alaska (like Kodiak Island and Alaskan Peninsula). Texas Style THERMAL hog hunting trips are typically structured as “spot and stalk” type hunts that start just before sundown. Our experienced guides will take hunters of any skill level through our safety course so they can feel totally ready for their night time hog experience. Over the course of four hours, we take hunting vehicles to multiple wild hog hunting areas, including both low fence and hunting preserve properties. Hunters will get the chance to scan the area with thermal and night vision devices in order to spot hogs and coyotes, as well as other non target species. Once hogs are spotted, your Texas hunting adventure is about to get WILD! We try to stalk up less than 75 yards from our target. 5-Day Archery Deer Hunt in Arizona
Arizona Guided Hunts also offers hunting options for the desert mule deer, primarily in southern Arizona. Mule deer hunting in Southern Arizona can provide a great opportunity for the first-time mule deer hunter or the hunter wanting a true desert mule deer to complete their slam. If you need your desert mule deer for the slam, this is a very unique and exciting hunting experience amongst desert terrain.
Although there is potential to harvest bucks with larger racks, the mature Arizona desert mule deer bucks that we typically harvest in our hunt areas have racks from 18 to 25 inches wide and have 3 to 5 points per side. Considering this is the desert, deer densities cannot be high in such a dry environment. But, our guides have mastered the techniques and have done their scouting homework so that our hunters can see a significant number of deer, again, considering it is the desert.
Our hunting style is the spot and stalk method. We hike to a good vantage point where a couple square miles can be seen at one time. Most of our mule deer hunting is done with our eyes through tripod-mounted optics. Once a good mule deer buck is spotted, we make our move from the vantage point for the final stalk. The terrain is very open, therefore rifle shots are usually over 300 yards and archery shots might exceed 50 yards. There may be a great deal of hiking involved, so hunters are encouraged to condition themselves to the best of their ability before arriving. Opportunities have been 100% for rifle desert mule deer hunts with an extremely high success! Opportunities to release arrows on archery mule deer hunts is extremely high!

(Oreamnos Americanus - Latin Name) Cordova Mt. Goat population is one of the healthiest in the state of Alaska, with some of our horn genetics being one of the best in Alaska. Many of our clients receiving top awards each year during the APHA/SCI program for top scoring Mt. Goat trophies. In Cordova, our goals have been to work with local area biologists in harvesting selected areas for trophies by a permit system, with intent not to over harvest and focus on Billy harvest only. We strive to harvest Billies 8 1/2 inches or better. Our average has been 9 inches or better in recent years, with a few in the 11 inches class. We have 2 classes of Billies in our area, normally Billies weighing in at 285 to 325 pounds, and then we have “Buffalo Billies” weighing in at nearly 400 pounds, a bigger genetics Mt. Goat.

We are pleased to offer hunting trips in southern Arizona for the rare Gould's turkey. The Gould's turkey is primarily a mountain dwelling bird that inhabits the extreme southern portions of Arizona in higher altitude areas known as "Sky Islands" (forested mountaintops that rise above the vast sea of desert). The Gould's sub-species is geographically separated from the northern Arizona Merriam's by hundreds of square miles of surrounding desert. Therefore, the chance for hybridization is slim to none. The Gould's is the largest of the turkey subspecies with longer legs, larger feet, and larger tail feathers and wings than all the other subspecies. They also have a higher level of iridescence to their feathers.
But, the most notable difference from the other turkey subspecies is that the Gould's turkey typically has whiter tips on the rump and tail feathers (Merriam's have a cream-white). The Gould's turkeys that we hunt live in a natural habitat with no food plots, no farm fields, no feeders and typically no other human influence. Since Gould's are mountain dwelling turkeys, our hunting takes place in the Oak Woodlands to Ponderosa Pine forests at elevations of 6000 to 8000 feet. This high altitude hunt area has breathtaking scenery with very enjoyable Springtime temperatures of around 80 degrees in the day and 45 degrees at night.
In order to eliminate over-harvest, Arizona Gould's Turkey tags are on a special random lottery draw through the Arizona Game and Fish Department. This is a unique hunt on private land where hunt are conducted out of 4x4 trucks, making it feasible for elderly folks or difficulty walking.
We have been operating out of our Candy Dan Camp for over 25 years. Constructed on the private ranch we hunt, located some 65 miles south of Great Falls. Our base camp consists of a newly constructed cook house built in 2013, equipped with a full kitchen, buffet table, couches, hot and cold water, and a custom dining table for up to 12 hunters, three cabins for sleeping quarters for the hunters, a sauna house, and sleeping quarters for the guides. Wild, free-ranging whitetail deer are plentiful on our property. We feed corn and plant attractants such as winter wheat in select areas to help draw in and sustain the population. They graze alongside our cattle, as well as in separate food plot areas reserved for wildlife. We provide a mixture of tree stands and ground-level blinds, ideally situated to overlook high traffic areas.
Private access for your group on approximately 500 acres of prime hunting ground in beautiful Stone County, Arkansas. Lodging included. No high fences. No tame animals. Duck hunting in Colorado can be nothing short of amazing. Our placement against the Front Range Mountains of Northern Colorado forces migrating ducks to push against the mountains when the temperatures freeze them out of eastern Colorado and points north. Typically duck hunts begin to get worthwhile in late November.
We get common puddle duck species like mallards, wigeon, teal, and gadwall, as well as other species like spoonbill, goldeneyes, canvasbacks, redheads, ringnecks, and three species of merganser. Your guided DUCK ONLY hunt will start at legal shooting light and end at noon. Duck only hunts are ½ day hunts. Lynx Hunt With Snowmobiles (Dec-Jan)
These hunts are conducted primarily by snowmobile in GMU’s 13 and 20. I run three different traplines encompassing over three hundred miles. If the hunter would like an opportunity to harvest a Lynx or Wolverine they will have to come join me in the dead of the Alaskan winter (December – February). I won’t promise warm weather but I will guarantee you some of the most scenic snowmobiling on earth and lots of it!
Wolf hunting Alaska style is always rewarding. We will do some calling for predators as well as setting traps and snares in locales that are likely spots to produce results. Typically we will snowmobile between 50-150 miles a day in search of Wolves, Wolverine, Lynx, Coyote and Fox. (Alces Alces-Latin Name) – Alaska-Yukon Moose is the largest of the moose family, weighing in at close to 1400 pounds and over 7 feet tall at the shoulders. The Cordova, Alaska area has been known for over 30 years as one of the top places in the world for record class Moose, with some of the top SCI record class Moose coming from this area. Over the past 30 years, we have placed in the top three 26 times in Alaska’s APHA/SCI awards program. Here at the TSIU Lodge we strive in taking 60 inches or better with our largest reaching 80 inches. If someone were to ask me what the chances are of achieving a trophy class moose, I would say, yes the genetics are there. The Axis deer was introduced to Maui in the late 1950s. The Axis deer quickly multiplied since no natural predators existed on the island to manage the population. Axis deer are estimated to exceed 50,000 in total on Maui. The population is so large that island residents have difficulty protecting the island's natural and precious ecosystems. Hunting Axis deer is a sustainable practice that helps conserve the beauty and abundance of Maui's plants and other wildlife.
All deer hunts can last up to 2 days. The hunt will end when (1) the hunter reaches the quota of deer as allotted by the selected plan, or (2) the hunt exceeds 2 days. An extra day of hunting for all hunt packages will be an additional charge. Extra hunting days will include all regular services.

5-Day August Mountain Goat Hunt in Cardova
All Mt. Goat hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success, with many cases, a packer is added for those extended missions. Depending on where you are hunting Mt. Goat in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Mt. Goat spike camp is portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent is 8’X8’ and is equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Mt. Goat country can be in a variety of areas, from 5000 foot mountain tops to 1000 mountain ridges along the coastal areas of the North Gulf Coast. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack.
Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of most rewarding and most beautiful trophies. Our Coues hunts are conducted in the vast, rugged desert mountains of southeastern Arizona, with Tucson being the closest major city. The hunting technique for Coues deer involves choosing a good vantage point and spending hours glassing through high-powered binoculars and spotting scopes.
The Coues bucks may be spotted over a mile away. Once a trophy Coues buck is located, the spot and stalk method is used to get within shooting range. The canyons where Coues deer live are usually big and open. Rifle hunters should be prepared for shooting distances from 200 yards to 500 yards, if the need arises. Bow hunters typically take shots at ranges from 30 to 60 yards, since it is really open terrain. Because of the topography, high-powered riflescopes on top of lightweight flat-shooting rifles with a bipod are a "must have." Recommended rifle calibers are the .25-06 up to .300 Magnums. We do not recommend smaller calibers. Rifle season hunts are conducted during three timeframes, which are: late October, early November, and late December. Our Archery Coues hunts are conducted during the month of January when they are in full rut.
SUCCESS RATES: We are proud to say that many of our rifle Coues seasons have ended with a 100% success rate! Nearly all of our past Coues hunters have been presented with opportunity.

Trophy Dall Hunt Sheep in Perfect Habitat
Our Alaska Dall sheep hunt takes place primarily in the historically game rich country of the Central Range east of the Alaska Denali National Park. These Alaska hunting trips are ten days in duration and begin in early August and end on the 20th of September. Alaska has long been renowned as some of the most pristine and productive Dall Sheep habitat anywhere. The Sheep population has been steady and most of the hunters get their sheep with a little luck and a whole lot of hard work! The average Alaska Dall Sheep Ram is 35-36 inches long with 13’+ bases. We do typically take several Rams a year in the 38′-40’+ range. The Alaska Range Rams are known for their wide flaring and light colored horns and make a fine addition to any hunters trophy room.
A typical Sheep hunts entail riding up and down various drainages looking for a respectable Ram to go after. We like to tell hunters that they can expect to have a 5-7 hour, fairly arduous, climb from the time they leave the horses until they pull the trigger. The guide will cape and prepare the trophy and meat for the pack back to the horses. The guide will carry all the meat (100-120 lbs.) and we expect the client to carry the trophy (35lbs. for a shoulder mt. and 65-75 lbs. for a full body mt.) back to the horses. For this reason we require the client to bring a backpack of at least 3500 cu. in. capacity. Quite often we can hunt Alaska dall sheep right out of my two main camps but on occasion we will spike out for 2-5 days looking for a respectable ram to harvest.
When we do we’ll be staying in a good quality four season mountain tent and eating freeze dried food until we can add some fresh Alaska Dall Sheep to the menu. These hunts require the hunter to be both physically fit and have the mental toughness to stay positive when mother nature and the elements may seem to be conspiring against us. The horses allow us to cover an infinite amount of country as compared to backpack hunting for the Dall Sheep. 10-Day Coastal Brown Bear Hunt in Exclusive Access Area
Our camp is situated in the heart of some of the best brown bear hunting in the world. Due to our location on the coast of southwest Alaska, and the fact the mountain range in which these giant brown bears den for the winter is only 75 miles away, many bears congregate here. The land we hunt is rich in sea life, allowing these Alaskan brown bears to gorge themselves six months out of the year and grow to immense size.
The hunting is done from tented spike camps, where ground is covered on ATVs and by boat. Spotting game, then stalking in for a shot, is the norm. Moose are often called in during the rut.
Bring hip or chest waders that you can walk in all day, every day, as that’s the most efficient way to comfortably cover ground. Mud and water dominate the lowland tidal flats and tundra that we hunt. Wolves, wolverine, red fox, ptarmigan, ducks and geese are often taken as bonus species by many of our hunters.

Big Horn Outfitters offers excellent mule deer hunting opportunities in Wyoming Game and Fish regions: C & Y. We harvest excellent deer every year averaging between 150-165″, with many larger deer harvested each year. You can expect to see good numbers of animals and have opportunities at respectable bucks during your hunt.
For the most part, these hunts are only mildly physical and can be enjoyed by hunters of all ages and abilities. Success rates are generally 100% each year, the only hunters that haven’t harvested their deer, were looking for a specific animal simply chose not to take any others during their hunt. These deer hunts book up extremely fast, generally 2-4 years in advance and they all require 2 or more preference points to draw the tag in Wyoming.
The Montana tag is a general deer license and will currently take 1 point to draw. Mule deer/Antelope combination hunts are very popular among our hunters and allow you to experience two great types of hunt on a single trip. As the name implies valley quail inhabit lower elevation valleys throughout California. They can also be found higher in altitude along the mountain foothills and high desert riparian areas. Thick briars and brush pockets intermixed with grassy openings are the perfect place to begin the search. During optimally wet years the valley quail hatches can be large and winter flocks in the dozens. When cooperative they can hold tight for dogs and explode like bullets out of the briars.
Valley quail hunts can be effectively combined with mountain quail, squirrel, dove, and rabbit hunting.

Western Illinois Free Range Whitetail Hunt - Archery Pre-Rut
The acres your hunt will take place on are very strictly managed. South Fork hunters are required to harvest at minimum 140 inch, 3 ½ year old bucks. Having these practices in place for years has only made a good thing that much better. In addition to the doe’s that our hunters harvest, we take heard surveys that enable us to go through late season and remove doe’s in highly populated areas. As a whole – the areas you will be hunting have an excellent doe-to-buck ratio (2 or 3-to-1). Hunter to acre ratio is also very important. Low pressure is a huge part of harvesting mid-west whitetail deer. Here at South Fork, we keep ample ground for the numbers of hunters we run, with some farms not being hunted for entire seasons. This is all to ensure South Fork ground will remain the best of the best.
We take stand location very seriously. This is crucial when getting close to giant Illinois bruisers. The wind and thermals are taken into consideration on every set. The stand set ups are for stealth entry and exits. Stand location is one of the biggest keys to a successful hunt- second only to having a piece of great managed whitetail ground. All stands are set by South Fork Guides that have years of experience and the bucks to prove it! The rule of thumb we live by is “if we wouldn’t hunt it, we won’t hang it!” We are as excited to get you into the stand that we hung, as you are to be in it. It’s like we are hunting with you. Our sets consist of hang–on’s with climbing sticks (20′-25′); ladder stands (16′-20′); shooting houses (7′-10′); and assorted ground blinds. We utilize over 70+ Shadowhunter Blinds to provide our gun hunters with a comfortable and solid shooting setup. We put you up close and personal, it’s just a matter of time before a big shooter reveals himself.
All hunts are completely free range with no high fences in the “Golden Triangle” of Illinois- Pike, Adams, and Hancock counties.

This 5 or 7-day hunt is the rugged western hunt you’ve always wanted. You'll ride horses or ATVs into the wilderness to find your elk, and return each day to home-cooked meals and warm wall tents.
The elk in our territory are Rocky Mountain Elk, which have the largest antlers of any subspecies of elk. These elk can be hunted with rifle or bow, with a guide or on your own.
The elk in this area live in varied environments from ravines and gullies to clearcuts and meadows. They are adaptable animals, living in every area in our hunting territory. Depending on the season, they may be living deep in the mountains, making for an engaging and involved hunting experience, or they may be located minutes from camp.
September is archery elk hunting season, getting you up close and personal with these great animals. The weather is agreeable in September, ranging from the high 30s at night to around 75F during the day. You'll need to bring your rain gear just in case, there are often several days of rain during September.

10-Day Mountain Goat and Black Bear Hunt in Cardova - Fall
All Mt. Goat hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success, with many cases, a packer is added for those extended missions. Depending on where you are hunting Mt. Goat in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Mt. Goat spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Mt. Goat country can be in a variety of areas, from 5000 foot mountain tops to 1000 mountain ridges along the coastal areas of the North gulf coast. With the use of our small aircraft, we are able to access areas where mountain goats have never seen a human before and can normally find a hunting area to fit your physical needs.
(Cordova Mt. Goat population is one of the healthiest in the state of Alaska.) With some of our horn genetics being one of the best in Alaska, many of our clients receiving top awards each year during the APHA/SCI program for top scoring Mt. Goat trophies. In Cordova, our goals have been to work with local area biologist, in harvesting selected areas for trophies by a permit system, with intent not to over harvest and focus on Billy harvest only. We strive to harvest Billies 8 1/2 inches or better. Our average has been 9 inches or better in recent years, with a few in the 11 inches class. We have 2 classes of Billies in our area, normally Billies weighting in 285 to 325 pounds and then we have “Buffalo Billies” weighing in at nearly 400 pounds, a bigger genetics Mt. Goat.
With plenty of food near the coastal areas of Cordova, our Black Bear have always been plentiful in the Cordova area, both during the spring and fall hunts. As always, we have goals, trying to achieve 6 foot or better, with an occasional 8 footer taken. Black Bear hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. But many times it’s a great starter hunt for the new young hunter to compatibility their parents or guardian. Depending on where you are hunting in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Black Bear spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort.
Again, Black Bear habitat varies from high covered snow peaks of their denning areas to the coastal grass areas near the coastal areas, during April, May and June. During the fall, most bears are hunted where berries are plentiful, either high up in the mountainous hillsides or low coastal areas where sometimes berries are thick. Once your trophy is taken, and it is then tagged, skinned and peeled, the meat is quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Black Bear meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Black Bear meat back with you, the meat will be donated to a local elder or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once the Black Bear hide and skull are back at the lodge, the hide is fleshed, ears, lips, nose, tail is turned and knuckles are out, it is then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage at the end of the season.

Northern Idaho has excellent mountain lion (cougar) hunting, and Shattuck Creek is here to facilitate the perfect hunt for you. Since these hunts will take place in the winter, you'll be staying at our hunting lodge where you'll enjoy first-class accommodations and homecooked meals.
From December to March, we run snowmobiles, trucks, and hounds to find the perfect trophy mountain lion for our hunters. The mountain lions here roam the winter range where the elk and deer live, in a circle up to 200 miles. Ten Day Spring Interior Grizzly Bear Hunt on Snowmobile
The spring bear hunts take place in GMU’s 13 and 20 that are home to some of the densest Bear populations in the state. The majority of the state allows for a Bear every 4 regulatory years but these units allow for a Bear every year as the population is strong and growing in spite of my efforts. So come help me give the Moose, Caribou and Sheep a chance – lets go Bear hunting!
My spring time bear hunts kick-off in April and are conducted primarily by snowmobile. These early hunts are usually denning hunts that entail snowmobiling in the mountain ranges of the Talkeetna’s and the Central Alaska Range and looking for the telltale sign of a den that has been freshly excavated. Bears will typically come and go from their dens from several days to a few weeks from when they first wake up. Bears harvested at this time of year have long unblemished coats and claws that are long and knife-like as they haven’t been digging for foods and such. There is also a $10,000 trophy fee.

High-Quality Duck Hunting in Delaware
Our fresh water impoundments have the two ingredients essential for great puddle duck hunting- shallow water and a variety of natural foods.These impoundments provide ducks with high quality natural foods-wild rice, duck weed, smart weed and duck celery. These impoundments are 60-100 acres which means there is plenty of food throughout the gunning season. We also plant some wild rice each spring. These large impoundments are also big enough for birds to loaf on all day long without being disturbed. Also our impoundments are far apart which means we are hunting different bunches of birds to help keep our hunting consistently good.
We like to use hand -carved cork decoys along with GHG decoys because of their realism and larger size. Most of the birds we are hunting travel in small bunches so 2-3 dozen decoys is plenty along with a few mojos when conditions dictate.
We take a large variety of puddle ducks over the course of the season on these large impoundments. In the early season, (Oct -Nov) we mainly take smaller ducks- blue-wing teal, green-wing teal, wood ducks and mallards. In the late season, (Nov-Dec) we take a larger ducks and variety- a few straggler teal and wood ducks but mainly mallards and gadwall and some days pintail, widgeon and shovelers. We also take some Canada geese when conditions are right.

Hunters are typically stationed in blinds or stands, where they remain until the guide—who continues working in the surrounding area—returns. It has been observed that while a lone hunter may struggle to outsmart a mature buck, a coordinated approach using two hunters at a distance can dramatically increase the chances of harvesting a trophy.
This is a three-day, four-night hunt based out of a lodge located in Clinton Falls, Indiana. Accommodations include lodging and daily meals—breakfast, a packed lunch, and dinner.

Grey Fox Hunt in California - Day Hunt - No Limit
During winter when hides are prime you can find big heavy coated gray fox throughout California. Gray fox are targeted with hand calls. It’s a blast watching 1, 2, 3, or sometimes more foxes come running into a call station where you have to be quick with the gun before they sense something isn’t right and disappear into the brush.

Montana 3-Day Antelope Hunt, 3x1
This is a unique hunt on private land where hunts are conducted out of 4x4 trucks, making it feasible for elderly folks or difficulty walking.
We have been operating out of our Candy Dan Camp for over 25 years. Constructed on the private ranch we hunt, located some 65 miles south of Great Falls. Our base camp consists of a newly constructed cook house built in 2013, equipped with a full kitchen, buffet table, couches, hot and cold water, and a custom dining table for up to 12 hunters, three cabins for sleeping quarters for the hunters, a sauna house, and sleeping quarters for the guides. Camp is equipped with propane heat, electricity in all cabins, electricity, full shower/sauna, and WIFI!
Our antelope hunts are conducted in the month of October on our private leases. The antelope herds are healthy and growing. Trophy bucks in our area average 13-14″ with 15″ a possibility. Antelope hunts are done in the traditional spot and stalk. This hunt is great for kids and families as there is usually lots of action, spotting, stalking, shooting.
Come and enjoy a great hunt, view mule deer, whitetail, and elk. Antelope can also be added to our elk hunts we offer in November. Antelope licenses in the state of Montana are on a draw basis; the deadline to apply is June 1.

These animals are officially named the “nilgai” antelope and originate in India and Nepal. “Nilgai” means “blue bull” in certain East Indian dialects. They were originally introduced to the King Ranch in the 1930’s by a family member who decided that South Texas was a tough environment for cattle that had evolved in a cooler climate. Western Illinois Free Range Whitetail Hunt - Archery Late Season
The acres your hunt will take place on are very strictly managed. South Fork hunters are required to harvest at minimum 140 inch, 3 ½ year old bucks. Having these practices in place for years has only made a good thing that much better. In addition to the doe’s that our hunters harvest, we take heard surveys that enable us to go through late season and remove doe’s in highly populated areas. As a whole – the areas you will be hunting have an excellent doe-to-buck ratio (2 or 3-to-1). Hunter to acre ratio is also very important. Low pressure is a huge part of harvesting mid-west whitetail deer. Here at South Fork, we keep ample ground for the numbers of hunters we run, with some farms not being hunted for entire seasons. This is all to ensure South Fork ground will remain the best of the best.
We take stand location very seriously. This is crucial when getting close to giant Illinois bruisers. The wind and thermals are taken into consideration on every set. The stand set ups are for stealth entry and exits. Stand location is one of the biggest keys to a successful hunt- second only to having a piece of great managed whitetail ground. All stands are set by South Fork Guides that have years of experience and the bucks to prove it! The rule of thumb we live by is “if we wouldn’t hunt it, we won’t hang it!” We are as excited to get you into the stand that we hung, as you are to be in it. It’s like we are hunting with you. Our sets consist of hang–on’s with climbing sticks (20′-25′); ladder stands (16′-20′); shooting houses (7′-10′); and assorted ground blinds. We utilize over 70+ Shadowhunter Blinds to provide our gun hunters with a comfortable and solid shooting setup. We put you up close and personal, it’s just a matter of time before a big shooter reveals himself.

The 90,000-acre island of Lana’i is home to the highest density of free-range Axis deer in the world. Hunters can expect to see hundreds of deer daily, and will spot and stalk either in a large, flat plain known locally as “the Serengeti,” or in the steep mountainous regions.
