Many of our hunters choose the Ram/Hog Combo hunt. This hunt has its own challenges as the rams become very wary of hunting pressure. We try to keep a variety of rams on the ranch, such as Corsican, Texas Dall, Black Hawaiian, Angora, and Jacob Four Horn, just to name a few. Ram meat makes excellent sausage! Our Ram/Hog Combo hunts can be very exciting for novice hunters as well as experienced hunters alike. Many of our novice or younger hunters choose to harvest their rams while sitting in one of our many ground blinds. This option offers the hunter a longer opportunity for better shot placement. However, spotting and stalking the rams during the midday hours is the method of choice for those wanting a more exciting and challenging hunt. While it is possible to get within close range of these animals, you should also be prepared for longer-range shots.
