When you book a hunt with us your group will be the only hunting party on the property. Your hunting guide is dedicated to making sure you have a good experience on the ranch and will be available to help you for a successful wild hog hunt.
The McCune Ranch Property is about 600 acres in size. We do not offer high fence or pinned animals to hunt. The property is a mix of heavily wooded areas, stock ponds, pastures with creeks and a swamp running across the property. The creeks and swamp flow into the Sabine River a short distance away. This provides an endless supply of Free Range Texas Wild Hogs from the Sabine River bottoms.
At McCune Ranch Outfitters your hunting guide will be available to transport you to your hunting location.

Spot and Stalk Blackbuck Antelope Hunt
Blackbuck Antelope hunts are very challenging. The hunter must be comfortable shooting in excess of 200 yards. Blackbuck hunting is conducted by traditional spot and stalk method of hunting. This hunt is rifle only. The Blackbuck Antelope will range from 18-23 inches straight line measurement in length.

Non-Outfitted Hog Hunt in Central Texas - Day Hunt
You'll have a hard time choosing which one to take down! We set up strategically placed blinds in known travel, feeding and watering areas. If the hunter is capable, we really love the excitement of a great spot and stalk to hunt our wild hogs. Shoot as many hogs as you like, as this is an unlimited hog hunt but we only clean and quarter one hog with the package. The terrain consist of dense mesquite-filled, rugged pastures, food plots, river bottoms and 72 freshwater lakes where the abundant wild game has easy access to water, cover and food. Our specialty is a 3 day, 2 night, or a 4 day, 3 night, all inclusive hunting package in search of Texas feral hogs. This hog hunt is designed for the ultimate thrill seekers and hard-core hunters! Chasing invasive wild hogs in Texas with hounds is about as fun as it gets! Our team of bay dogs will be turned out on the scent trail of the hogs, and will run until they find them. We suit up pit bulls with kevlar vests and make our approach. The bay dogs corral the hog until we can send in a catch dog from less than 50 yards away. We follow immediately behind the catch dog and send a client or guide in to grab the back legs of the hog while another client dispatches the wild pig with a knife. These hunts can range over hundreds of yards. Hunters should expect to walk up to 3 miles. Getting to the dogs is urgent for their safety and our success. All hunts include accommodations in hunters’ bunkhouse, transportation to and from blinds and hunt sites, and 1 hog per day. Most hunts are from enclosed blinds for rifle hunting. We can also set up ground blinds or tripods for archery and handgun hunters. Automatic feeders have solar powered hog lights for great night hunting. (Great for coyotes too.) more hogs can be taken for an extra fee. We also have a gun range and encourage everyone to make sure your weapons are sighted in. hunters 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We currently have 2 lodges on the property, Cattail and Hilltop.
