We are pleased to offer hunting trips in southern Arizona for the rare Gould's turkey. The Gould's turkey is primarily a mountain dwelling bird that inhabits the extreme southern portions of Arizona in higher altitude areas known as "Sky Islands" (forested mountaintops that rise above the vast sea of desert). The Gould's sub-species is geographically separated from the northern Arizona Merriam's by hundreds of square miles of surrounding desert. Therefore, the chance for hybridization is slim to none. The Gould's is the largest of the turkey subspecies with longer legs, larger feet, and larger tail feathers and wings than all the other subspecies. They also have a higher level of iridescence to their feathers. But, the most notable difference from the other turkey subspecies is that the Gould's turkey typically has whiter tips on the rump and tail feathers (Merriam's have a cream-white). The Gould's turkeys that we hunt live in a natural habitat with no food plots, no farm fields, no feeders and typically no other human influence. Since Gould's are mountain dwelling turkeys, our hunting takes place in the Oak Woodlands to Ponderosa Pine forests at elevations of 6000 to 8000 feet. This high altitude hunt area has breathtaking scenery with very enjoyable Springtime temperatures of around 80 degrees in the day and 45 degrees at night. In order to eliminate over-harvest, Arizona Gould's Turkey tags are on a special random lottery draw through the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The eastern counties of NC are known for having some of the largest and most plentiful population of black bears in the United States. Combo Mouflon Sheep, Wild Hog, and Wild Goat Hunt on Big Island

Mouflon Sheep, Mouflon Hybrid Sheep, Pigs, and Goats are available for harvest on Parker Ranch guided hunting tours. The hunt fee allows you to harvest all 3 big game species. Calls will be answered by one of the Hunting Guides. Mouflon and Mouflon Hybrid Mouflon Sheep are the most prized mammal species on the island of Hawaii. They have exceptional eyesight and an awareness to stay just beyond the effective distances of Archery or Rifle Hunting. Trophy rams have been harvested with horns above 35 inches in length. One ram is allowed per hunt with trophy fees for rams above 25 inches of horn length. Smaller rams below 25 inches of horn length carry the standard harvest fee. Goats have made a home for themselves on all parts of the island. They tend to be less wary than Mouflon Sheep making them an easier target via bow. One Billy is allowed per hunt. Large males can have impressive sweeps and curls in their horns with long beards and heavily muscled front quarters. The standard $500 harvest fee applies for a Billy up to 30″ of horn length. A Billy above 30″ of horn length will carry a trophy fee that replaces the harvest fee. Frequently nocturnal in nature, pigs on Parker Ranch can routinely be spotted feeding during cool periods of the day allowing for pigs to be harvested with a bow or rifle via spot and stalk. Boars have been harvested with knife like sharpened tusks bright white in color and over 5 inches in length. Course hair, sharp tusks, a protective shield, and their aggressive demeanor make for an exciting hunt.

We conduct our mountain lions trips from November through April in the heart of Arizona and we can adapt to whatever diverse conditions we will encounter during your mountain lion trip. Our hunts can be conducted in several different methods including calling them with a electronic predator call, trailing them in the snow, but our preferred method is by pursuing behind our pack of lion hounds on foot on dry ground conditions. Whether we are going to be calling or dry ground hunting on foot, our most proven method of hunting these magnificent and elusive western predators is on foot with our pack of hounds. Our houndsman guides that will be taking you out on our lion trip are some of the very best fourth generation lion hunters in the state and will do everything humanly & legally possible to tree your tom and give you an extremely unforgettable first class hunting experience of a life time. Our team of predator hunting houndsman have over a two decades of pounding the high & low country, calling, trailing, and treeing lions under the very brutal country in Arizona has to offer. The typical day on our Arizona mountain lion hunts will begin before sunrise. Depending on the particular area of rim country or the other units that we have located a fresh tracks or recent kill from a tom mountain lion. Some of the rim country where we conduct our mountain lion hunts has excellent road systems that we will utilize to cover vast amounts of country with trucks, & UTVs in search of fresh tracks of mountain lion. If we are going to be lion hunting in a large expanse of rough and roadless country we will then free cast the pack of hounds while following them on foot as the pack searches for the fresh track of a legal mountain lion. Once a large tom mountain lion track is located either by us or by the hounds, the memories begin. Once the pack of hounds has jumped the cat you never know exactly where that particular lion will decide to tree or bay up on rocks, once our hounds have finally caught up to the lion. The pursuit will make the lion either choose to climb up into the branches of a tall ponderosa pine tree, cedar, juniper, or climb up on top of a giant rock mound, hide in the deep rim rock cave, or even fight the dogs on the ground. Expect to take shots anywhere from 40 yards to point blank on a bayed lion so clients need to be ready to possibly do some quick shooting in a very adrenaline filled moment. Experience an extreme big game hunt that is not offered in the entire state for a hunter to experience than our lion hunts in the heart of Arizona. While most people are wrapping up their hunting season, we are gearing up for some of our most exciting and favorite hunts of the year. Hunting mountain lions allows you to extend your hunting season and experience an exciting adrenaline-packed adventure. Our season opens Dec. 1st and extends through the end of March. We are usually done by mid February due to quota being meet or weather conditions no longer holding with good running conditions. With the abundance of deer in unit 54, mountain lions are in good supply. Mountain lions are an extremely elusive animal seldom seen in the wild. We run these big cats during the winter months when snow is plentiful allowing us to easily cut their tracks. We hunt out of 4 wheel drive vehicles and off snowmobiles allowing us to cover more ground. Once a tom track is located, the chase is on in hopes of treeing him with the aid of our experienced well-trained hounds, for whom we have the utmost respect and love. Are you searching for a mountain quail hunting guide to complete your upland slam? If we had to choose one upland bird to hunt the rest of our life, it would have to be the mountain quail. If it wasn’t for the beautiful landscapes they call home, they win the award for craftiness and excellent table fare. As the name implies, these are the birds of the mountains. The mountain quail loves brush choked hillsides next to water. It’s common to find mountain quail in the vicinity of sooty grouse, ruffed grouse, band-tailed pigeon, and squirrel, depending on the part of the state. We often find valley quail in the same spots as mountain quail in lower elevation locations, especially late in the season. Folks often call amidst the season and ask if “now is a good time to hunt mountain quail?” The answer is always yes. While some years have better hatches than others – there isn’t the annual fluctuations in quail numbers like you might find in desert quail species. Mountain quail hunting in the early season is very different from the late season; however, no part of the season is better or worse. The early season the quail are more spread out across the mountains but never far from water. In the late season the snow pushes quail lower which concentrates the birds along lower elevation brushy south facing exposures. The season starts early, runs late, and bag limits are generous. There is no place better than California to chase mountain quail. We use pointing dogs that are also trained to retrieve for quail hunts.

Alaska Moose Hunting with Willie Dvorak, Master Guide Guided moose hunting in Alaska can be a thrill of a lifetime. The hunts take place in September during the start of the rut. Calling a big bull into range is one of the most amazing things you will ever see. It is also one of the most exciting ways of hunting them. The Alaskan moose is the biggest of all moose. Great mass and wide spreads make an awe inspiring site on any trophy room wall. Moose have to be 50 inches wide or support 4 brow tines in this area to be legal. This helps insure trophy animals for next season and insures that any animal that is legal is a real trophy. It should be said that many hunters feel a moose is a “gimme” animal. This is not the case. Nor is it the case that a bull needs to be 60 inches wide to be a great trophy. The media has promoted this idea to the extent that they have taken something away from the sport of moose hunting. The first bull I ever killed was a young bull standing at 18 yards that I took with a bow on the first day of my first trip. The second bull I killed was a beautiful 56 inch bull that I shot with a .300 Win Mag at less than 100 yards on the second day of my second trip. Not all hunts are that easy. Be assured, a legal bull is a huge animal and to fill your moose tag in the wilds of Alaska will be a feat you will remember for the rest of your life. I recommend a minimum caliber of 30-06 for moose. The shots on moose are typically less than 100 yards. When you are planning a trip like this, it makes a lot of sense to be well practiced at further distances also. A 30-06 is a great weapon for any of the animals you may include on this hunt on a trophy fee basis. Trophy fee options will be applicable only if the Alaska State Game Regulations have open seasons for the species. Unless other arrangements are made, I will be your guide. In a perfect world, an employee would care about the business as much as the owner. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. I do all of my own guiding unless other arrangements are made. It is comforting for you to know that the guy who is cashing your check (me) is the same guy who will accompany you in the field (me). I put my reputation on the line every time I cash a check.

The terrain features expansive agricultural fields, small woodlots, creeks (both dry and wet), fence rows, and conservation reserve areas. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack. Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of the most rewarding and most beautiful trophies. Our Coues hunts are conducted in the vast, rugged desert mountains of southeastern Arizona, with Tucson being the closest major city. If you are a bowhunter, we offer two time choices: an early archery deer hunt in August through mid-September and a rut archery season in January. The early season during Aug-Sept is mainly conducted sitting a water hole. The January rut archery season is a bit more challenging and can be considered the ultimate "spot-and-stalk" deer hunt! Our rut Coues deer bowhunting takes place from January 1 through January 31. There are no trees in classic Coues deer country, which leaves out treestand hunting as a January technique. Our guides use glassing methods to locate a good buck. Once a good Coues buck is located, it is then carefully stalked to within a comfortable distance. Carefully stalking involves staying out of sight, walking lightly on the loud, crunchy, brush-choked, gravel ground to avoid noise, and always keeping the wind in your favor. Once into position, the archery hunter waits patiently for the right moment to release an arrow. If the bucks are rutting hard, rattling, grunting and/or doe bleats will sometimes bring the buck closer for an opportunity to release an arrow. Since it is a spot and stalk hunt, archery shots tend to be in the 30 to 60 yard range. The further you can shoot a bow accurately, the higher your chances for success. Our guided Coues bowhunters see many bucks during this rut hunt. Hunters typically make 1 to 3 stalks per day. Most of our archery coues hunters release arrows at bucks. Getting a Coues deer with a bow though, ultimately "boils-down" to the archery hunter's ability to use good stalking techniques. Archery deer hunts are 5 days in duration (instead of 4). We conduct an early archery season (Aug-Sept) and a late season (January). August archery deer hunts may be combined with archery bear (In that case, the total hunt cost would be the current bear hunt rate), if you so choose to purchase an OTC bear tag. January hunts can be combined with javelina during the first 3 weeks of January, if you so choose to apply for and draw a javelina tag. Archery deer tags are over the counter for residents, but are limited for nonresidents (on a first-come, first-serve basis online). Our success rate for Archery Coues hunts is typically double that of the general public's archery Coues success rate. Most of our archery harvests would make the Pope and Young minimum.

We harvest excellent deer every year averaging between 150-165″, with many larger deer harvested each year. Hunting the marshes and swamps of Lake Okeechobee for ducks is an experience in itself. Not only do we hunt on the famous Lake Okeechobee, we also hunt various public water lakes and rivers as well as private land. On our private waters, we hunt a mixture of swamps on private ranches and big reservoirs on dairies. We chase the ducks so each hunt could be in a different location. On day one we might run the airboat in the shallow marshes of Lake Okeechobee. The next morning take the mud boat out into some open water to try ringers, then pack up and go to a private dairy to hunt in a reservoir to knock down some black bellies. You will be able to hunt four private ranches (55,000 acres) along with approximately one thousand acres of BLM land, reaching an altitude of well over 10,000 feet. Our elk hunts are fair chase, and the terrain and scenery are breathtaking. With only 36% of Jackson County being private property, pressured elk to seek out the protection of private lands for safety, which is where the majority of our hunting takes place. Our ranches are on the fringes of the timber and offer significant agriculture opportunities, making this prime free-range elk habitat very productive for our hunters. The elk herd stands at almost 20 bulls for 100 cow elk. The Colorado Department of Wildlife’s studies show this ratio is increasing, which means your opportunity for a bull is significantly higher than public lands throughout other parts of Colorado. In 2018, studies showed that the harvest success rate for all elk across the state was around 18%; in the last five years, our success rate was far better than the state average. Specifically, you will be hunting just outside of the towns of Rand and Coalmont, CO. Rand is located about 3 hours Northwest of Denver at the base of Parkview Mountain at the south end of the North Park Region of Colorado. Coalmont is located 25 miles to the west of Rand and sits at the Eastern end of the Rabbit Ears Pass. The North Park Region is surrounded by mountain crests of the Park Range, Medicine Bow Range, and Never Summer Range. This area offers open sagebrush country and willow flat marshes surrounded by aspen, fir, and pine forests, reaching elevations beyond the tree line. With breathtaking views of Parkview Mountain to the south, the Never Summer Mountain Range and the Continental Divide to the southeast, and the rugged Buffalo Peaks to the west, you will truly find your place in the world!

When you arrive be prepared to board a large swamp buggy, capable of tackling all of Florida’s marshes and thick terrain! The buggy’s tall platform deck will have you elevated to view vast areas surrounding you, and shooting towers will keep you secure and give you a rest whether you are stopped to shoot or running and gunning. Spring Bear Hunt

Montana black bear are fair game in both the fall and spring! Color phase bears in shades of cinnamon, chocolate, and blonde are seen more frequently than jet black bears. In fact, the Swan Valley is home to some of the best black bear hunting in Montana. Our bear hunts often utilize horses, which makes us a very unique option for guided bear hunts in Montana. The Hawaiian Islands are known for their beautiful lush forest with an abundance of Hawaiian exotic plants and animals. The forest has also been a home for a few different species of wild boar. History has been told that the pua’a or pig was brought to Hawaii by Captain Cook, as a walking food substance for their journey in the late 1700’s. Through the years, these pigs have been genetically altered by breeding with other species that were introduced to the islands. In the past, the pigs caught show some of these different genetic traits. Wild pigs cause extreme damage to Hawaii’s rainforest eco-system. Hunters help keep the wild pig population under control by eradication. We offer some of the best hog hunting in the Hawaiian Islands. All of these hunts take place on private land (cattle ranches). We hunt hogs from a treestand, ground blind, or spot stalk method--whichever you prefer or based on your capability. HOW GOOD IS THE HOG HUNTING?: We measure our success based on the opportunity we provide our hunters at game that is in range and a reasonable shot for them to take. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack. Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of most rewarding and most beautiful trophies. Our Coues hunts are conducted in the vast, rugged desert mountains of southeastern Arizona, with Tucson being the closest major city. The hunting technique for Coues deer involves choosing a good vantage point and spending hours glassing through high-powered binoculars and spotting scopes. The Coues bucks may be spotted over a mile away. Once a trophy Coues buck is located, the spot and stalk method is used to get within shooting range. The canyons where Coues deer live are usually big and open. Rifle hunters should be prepared for shooting distances from 200 yards to 500 yards, if the need arises. Bow hunters typically take shots at ranges from 30 to 60 yards, since it is really open terrain. Because of the topography, high-powered riflescopes on top of lightweight flat-shooting rifles with a bipod are a "must have." Recommended rifle calibers are the .25-06 up to .300 Magnums. We do not recommend smaller calibers. Rifle season hunts are conducted during three timeframes, which are: late October, early November, and late December. Our Archery Coues hunts are conducted during the month of January when they are in full rut. Thermal imaging optics effectively translate heat- that is, thermal energy- into visible light to analyze surroundings. Living things and mechanical equipment generate heat, making them detectable even in total darkness. These optics can be very precise, requiring only a small amount of heat to work effectively. The level of thermal radiation emitted by an object is called its heat signature. The hotter an object is, the greater the signature will be. The thermal imaging optic is capable of distinguishing heat sources and very small differences in thermal signature. It compiles this data into a complete "heat image" distinguished by heat levels. Utilizing this equipment in the hunting industry has been proven to be a valuable asset in feral hog population control. Unlike traditional night vision optics (illustrated above) thermal imaging is much more advanced for detecting animals that can be just off the beating path.
