Fall Alaska Brown Bear + Black Bear Hunt - Yacht Based

Brown Bear hunting in Alaska is often considered the pinnacle of the North American hunting experience. While embarking on a brown bear hunt with Glacier Guides, you will be hunting the renowned ‘ABC’ Islands for one of the most unique populations of Brown Bear in the world. Our hunts take place in both the spring and fall, with each respective season providing a unique experience in the style and method of hunting. The Alaskan Grandeur, our custom built and designed adventure yacht will serve as base camp, while access to the hunting grounds is done via 18 foot powered skiffs. Admiralty, Baranof, and Chichagof are the three islands that comprise the ‘ABC’ Islands of Southeast Alaska. Located at the northern end of the Alexander Archipelago, these three islands are home to one of the most distinctive and unique brown bear populations in North America, let alone the world. A must hunt for the most discriminating of sportsmen, the ‘ABC’ Brown Bears show an ancestral lineage more closely related to polar bears as opposed to the typical Alaskan Brown Bear. These islands are also home to the Tongass National Forest, the largest national forest in the United States and one of the last remaining intact temperate rain forests in the entire world. Encompassing 17 million acres, the Tongass with its diverse ecology and geographic features provides one of the most breathtaking and stunning environments for a sportsman’s adventure of a lifetime. A fall Brown Bear hunt with Glacier Guides generally consists of 10 hunting days to take place in September and October. These hunts occur amongst the many streams and rivers where the salmon are actively spawning, drawing the bears to congregate and feed as they prepare for their winter hibernation. The opportunity to view and hunt these bears as they fish for salmon provides a very unique and exhilarating hunting experience. Our custom Yacht, the Alaskan Grandeur, serves as base camp while access to the streams and estuaries is conducted via 18 foot powered skiffs. The style of hunting involves hiking up the respective streams, still hunting along the way and sitting over the many fishing holes being used by the bears. This is a very unique method of hunting as you will be completely immersed in the midst of the Tongass old growth rain forest, also known as the Fortress of the Bears – Kootznoowoo – by the local Tlingit Indians. Hunters should be able to walk upwards of two miles in chest waders, with the terrain consisting of slick, moss covered rocks, logs, trees, and uneven undulating ground. The hunting is generally in very close quarters with the bears, with shots often coming inside of 50 yards. A hunter should be well versed and practiced in various shooting positions, to include sitting, off hand, and prone.

Florida Archery Semi-Guided Trophy Deer Hunt

Trophy deer hunts in Northwest Florida. The property is located eight (8) miles north of Blountstown, Florida. Located just 35 miles west of Tallahassee in the Famous Florida panhandle. Access is easy from anywhere. We have four miles of beautiful river frontage on the Apalachicola River. We also maintain 20 food plots and 20 bait stations year-round. Bow hunters will enjoy success on our 4,000 acre archery only plantation that has been trophy managed for the last 19 years. Hunters can come by themselves or in a group. If you come by yourself we will pair you with one other hunter who came by themselves to pair you as a group. Your group will be assigned an exclusive portion of the property and your guide will then show you active trails and food sources within your exclusive portion of the property. Your guide will recommend areas for you to hang your stands. Most hunters have shot opportunities the first day. Our hunts are semi-guided and are perfect for the veteran bow hunter or the beginner. We have a lot of first-time bow hunters harvest their first animal with Southern Arrowhead Outfitters. If you are tired of hunting public land with low or no success or tired of paying the high cost of being a hunt club member, come hunt with us. We do all the hard work for you, all you have to do is show up, hang your stands and start hunting a private, managed, archery only plantation where you will have high success. 3-Day Columbian Blacktail Hunt With Pack Llamas

Offering fully guided Columbian blacktail deer hunts in the backcountry and wilderness of California’s B zones. Guides spend the summer scouting and patterning big bucks so that they can get you in the perfect position for the shot when the season comes. If you are interested in a spot and stalk hunt in truly spectacular country chasing mature blacktail bucks this may be the perfect adventure for you. We have a team of pack llamas to haul in comfortable camps and aid in game retrieval. We offer two styles of hunts to suit the guest(s) preferences: A true wilderness experience where we will camp deep in the backcountry and in many cases can glass excellent country right from camp. Hunts closer to the road system where we spike out for the day but make camp in dispersed or designated camping areas near roads. Both styles are physically demanding and require early mornings and long days of glassing. Days are often hot, but we get our fair share of cold or even snow at times. The reward for hard work can pay off in the memories, meat, and antlers of the unique Columbian Blacktail. The Hunt A “typical” day with your blacktail deer hunting guide consists of rising well before the sun and having a quick bite to eat. Wilderness hunting camps are placed at or very near prime glassing locations. Using high quality optics on tripods we will pick apart the mountainsides looking for any part of a deer. Once a shooter buck is spotted we will plan a stalk based on the weapon, wind, the animals direction of travel, and the contours of the land. During archery season, when bucks are in velvet, we see 3-4 times as many bucks than during the general season; however, stalks must be made with patience. Just prior to the general season bucks lose their velvet and have developed a sixth sense for staying alive. These bucks tend to hole up in thicker country. Spotting them becomes the more challenging aspect – once located we can often slip within rifle range for a shot. If a shooter buck has not been spotted by mid-morning, or if other hunters in your group have not yet had an opportunity, we may move locations slightly to get views of new territory. We move more with our glass than our bodies once in a good location. Bucks can be seen at any hour of daylight and we will glass all day if needed. As dusk approaches we will make sure to be in a strategic position to spot bucks as they rise from their day beds. At dark we will head back to camp for a good meal and to relive the days hunt before getting much needed sleep. After a kill we immediately field process the animal to get it cooled off. Depending on the weather we may hang the trophy and quarters in camp or have the llamas pack them out to the vehicle to get them on ice. Deer hunts may also be combined with bear hunts. During our summer scouting trips we see numerous quality black bears in the same areas deer hunts are conducted. Notes: Our guides work extremely hard, year-round to get you in the right location, however, there is no guarantees in hunting. Very few outfits offer fully-guided Columbian Blacktail hunts on public land; that’s because it’s one of the most difficult animals to hunt due to their elusive behavior and the rough terrain. Some of the biggest bucks live in the remote locations that we hunt and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If a shot is made and blood is drawn, that’s considered your animal whether recovered or not. Be proficient with your weapon of choice. These hunts are conducted primarily by snowmobile in GMU’s 13 and 20. I run three different traplines encompassing over three hundred miles. If the hunter would like an opportunity to harvest a Lynx or Wolverine they will have to come join me in the dead of the Alaskan winter (December – February). I won’t promise warm weather but I will guarantee you some of the most scenic snowmobiling on earth and lots of it! Wolf hunting Alaska style is always rewarding. We will do some calling for predators as well as setting traps and snares in locales that are likely spots to produce results. Typically we will snowmobile between 50-150 miles a day in search of Wolves, Wolverine, Lynx, Coyote and Fox. If you are looking to only do wolf hunting in Alaska then later in the winter is the prime time. We will stay at several of my cabins for two and three day stints looking for predators to call and/or trap. These hunts have become increasingly popular over the years so much so that I can’t even break away to attend a show to promote my business. If the hunter wants to harvest some of the most luxurious fur on the face of the earth then this hunt is for you.

We conduct all of our thermal hog hunts on over 10,000 privately owned acres. We not only hunt the agricultural fields we also hunt in the woods over our feed sources and food plots. Lunch is always available; however it will not always be served at the house. If you are with us during Turkey season we may be eating in town at lunch time because a lot of the hunting leases are a bit of a drive from the house. We raise hundreds of "buddy ducks" in our sanctuary every year to mix with our local population. Members have full access to lodge 24/7, and the ability to Dove Hunt on our sunflower field. Our waterfowl area consists of blind locations on the creeks, fields, and ponds. 2025 waterfowl membership $3,300 which includes 2 guest fees during the season. Alaska Peninsula Coastal Brown Bear Hunt

The population of Brown Bears on the Alaska Peninsula is at an all time high. With an abundant supply of salmon, berries, moose, caribou, ground squirrels and carrion, the refuge provides excellent habitat for numerous brown bears. The refuge supports one of the highest concentrations of brown bear in Alaska. According to Becharof National Wildlife Refuge staff, Becharof and Alaska Peninsula N.W.R. combined are thought to be home to as many as 3000 of these magnificent animals. Bears range from mountaintops to seacoast. Depending on weather conditions and food supply, Alaska Peninsula brown bears usually leave their dens in April/May and return in October/November. Some bears will den much later, or not at all, if adequate food sources are available. My hunting concessions span the entire width of the Alaska Peninsula, from Bristol Bay on the west to the Pacific Ocean on the east. One of my areas is the Island Arm of Becharof Lake; it provides most of the spawning and rearing habitat for sockeye and Coho salmon within the Becharof drainage. Consequently, it hosts one of the highest density of Alaska Peninsula brown bears feeding on spawning salmon that occurs in Becharof Refuge and the Ugashik area. My other area borders Shelikof Strait on the "Pacific side" of the Alaska Peninsula. This is tremendous bear habitat and we have harvested many bears over 10' from all three areas. I employ one guide per hunter. My guides love to hunt Alaska Peninsula brown bears! They average over 12 years guiding experience, some I have worked with for 20 years. Our bears average over 9 feet, with success rates over 90%. The bear season alternates between fall and spring on odd years (2013, 2015, etc.) we hunt in the fall and on even years (2014, 2016, etc.) we hunt in the spring. After every spring season, the Alaska Peninsula "rests" for 18 months until the next fall season!

Centrally located between the huge tidal marshes of southern New Jersey and endless cornfields of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Delaware winters close to 500,000 snow geese annually. Delaware is home to two major snow geese roosts- the 16,000 acre Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (Kent County) and the 9,900 acre Prime Hook Nationals Wildlife refuge. (Sussex County) Combined these refuges host over 400,000 snow geese each fall. Both refuges provide large fresh water impoundments and tidal marshes for snow geese. We currently lease over 30 farms in Kent and Sussex county. We have farms covering a large area both close to and farther inland from the refuges. Since we have hunted these areas for over twenty years, we have leased only the best farms used by wintering snow geese. Snow goose hunting requires a huge amount of decoys. We use mostly full bodies and some silo socks. More so than any other waterfowl, huge spreads of decoys are an important part to harvest snow geese. Being on the ‘X” is most important but we have had a lot of good hunts (25-50 birds) just getting under the birds and hunting traffic. 200 decoys was deadly ten years ago but today 1500 – 2000 decoys are needed for those same results. Your guide will meet you at the hotel or at an assigned place at an assigned time. From the hotel you will follow your guide to the farm. Snow Goose Hunt in New Jersey

Southern New Jersey holds upwards of 150,000 snow geese during the fall and spring. Most of these birds are in Salem and Cumberland county. Generally the birds show up in late October and leave in mid-March. New jersey snow goose hunting presents two unique challenges. First,these birds sometimes will fly over to Delaware to feed for the day. Another second factor to contend with here in New Jersey are the huge tidal marshes where the birds roost. Generally the birds will not leave the marsh preferring to stay and feed on the salt hay fields that are so numerous in New Jersey tidal marshes. But once the weather turns cold that is when the birds head inland from 2- 20 miles to find higher protein food like corn, soybean or wheat. We have farms in both Salem and Cumberland county. All or our farms are inland anywhere from 2 -12 miles from the roost areas for these birds. As mentioned above, our best hunting is the first cold snap when the birds head inland for high protein food. Snow geese prefer large farms and our farms vary in size from 60-415 acres. We have leased these farms for over ten years so we have a good idea of when they will use them. And of course we scout daily and have area farmers looking for us also. Snow goose hunting requires a huge amount of decoys. We use mostly silosocks and some full bodies. More so than any other waterfowl, huge spreads of decoys are an important part to harvest snow geese. Being on the ‘X” is most important but we have had a lot of good hunts (25-50 birds) just getting under the birds and hunting traffic. 200 decoys was deadly ten years ago but today 500-1500 decoys are needed for those same results. Generally our best hunting is when it gets cold and the birds head to the fields to feed. Another good time for us is February- March season for a couple reasons. The conservation season begins and the e-callers really help decoys birds especially the small bunches and it also helps tremendously on traffic hunts. Tens of thousands of snow geese move into our area this time of the season. They are starting to stage to head north and gradually move north along the tidal marshes as they stage. And lastly, like all waterfowl, windy days really produce especially when using Silosocks. Remember we are hunting snow geese that are about as predictable as the weather. These are very skittish and finicky birds that have no real agenda when it comes to decoying. The rule with snow geese are there are no rules. Let the fun begin!

Arizona Black Bear Hunting, Guided But No Lodging, OTC Tags

Arizona offers extraordinary trophy color phase bear hunting with many record book boars harvested every year in the southwest. We primarily hunt in late summer to early fall August - November. During this time bears are very active during the day time and spend majority of their day exploring for food. Bears come in many unique color phases, black, chocolate, cinnamon, and blonde. On our hunt expect to do a great deal of glassing, walking, and hiking on spot n stalk or behind hounds, so you must be in good physical shape. These hunts offer a lot of excitement and has a very high success rate. We use three main techniques to harvest our bears, the spot-and-stalk method, the calling method, and classic behind hounds pursuit. As our primary hunting technique, we trail behind hounds. Our second technique is spot-n-stalk, we hike to a good glassing point where a few square miles of terrain can be seen at one time. Once a mature bear is spotted, we plan our stalk. Expect to take rifle shots across big canyons, so a bi-pod or tall standing shooting tripod, good high-power riflescope, and a big, flat-shooting caliber is highly recommended. Rifle shots on spot n stalk average 500+ yards, but be prepared for any distance (longer or shorter) if the need arrises. If you are a bowhunter, this Arizona spot and stalk bear hunt is the ultimate challenge. Rifle or hand gun shots behind hounds is 20 out to 50 yard shot placement. As a proven third technique, we use electronic predator call and utilize hand calling. Sometimes black bears prefer to stay in the thick oak brush, dense pinon pines, tall manzantia, prickly pear slopes, and juniper thickets where they eat acorns, pinon nuts, berries, cactus fruit, or juniper berries. These areas have thicker vegetation and allow for limited glassing. If this is where the bears are located at the time of your hunt, we may use limited glassing and use a predator call. This technique is an exciting way to pull a bear out of the brush and within shooting distance. The OTC tags and licenses for our trophy Arizona black bear hunts are purchased online and do not need to be drawn.

Axis deer or Chital deer is one of the most popular game mammals to hunt in Hawaii. If you want an extreme challenge, Axis deer hunting is the way to go. They can see, hear and sense you from a distance, and will run circles around you. In the 1860s, Axis deer were introduced to the island of Molokai, Hawaii as a gift from Hong Kong to King Kamehameha V. The deer were introduced to Lanai, another of the Hawaiian Islands, soon afterward and are now plentiful on both islands. These animals are very clean and do not have fleas or ticks. Studies have shown that they have never been found with diseases that threatened their species. They have also been found to heal themselves from bullet wounds and injuries. The Axis deer known for their beautiful white spotted cape and dark colored horns make the deer popular game to hunt in Hawaii. In the culinary world, Axis deer is popular for its high quality meat, and raised in Florida and Texas. Deep in the heart of Texas lies one of the most unique destinations and hunting experiences you can imagine. We specialize in thermal hunting for South Texas wild hog and limited exotic species using fair chase methods. Traditional daytime and afternoon hunting from blinds is available during the daylight hours, but after dark is where the real fun begins. Early morning coffee and out to the blind before sunrise to try to catch the hogs coming to the morning feeder and water holes. Return to lodge mid-morning for full breakfast, and enjoy a little relax time around the lodge, enjoy the long range rifle range. We serve a late lunch and then it’s out to the blind again for the afternoon/evening hunt which usually runs from an hour before sunset to an hour after. Return to the lodge for a full dinner. Our rocky mountain elk hunts are featured in the heart of Arizona. Hunters need to be prepared to endure all possible weather conditions. It is important that clients be in good physical hiking condition to endure the Arizona terrain and to gain that edge to connect with your trophy bull. The average bull scores 300+ inches up to 400 inches depending on time frame of the season and unit. We only hunt for big mature bulls with the great possibility of harvesting a Pope and Young in the respected trophy units in Arizona. You will be given the same professional service no matter what the time frame is or the unit you will be hunting in. We offer two types of rifle trips, for those who are lucky enough to draw an early season rifle tag. The early tag hunt will find you setting up on post rut bulls. This hunt is exciting for us as guides to find those bulls finishing up the rut. It is our chance to get within rifle distance of those bulls. Your guide will also utilize calling, spot and stalking, and setting up at strategic ambush sites. If a huge bull is your goal, then this trip will provide you with the opportunity to reach or exceed that goal. Our late season hunt is slower paced than the early season hunt. We will spend time glassing up bulls and then making that stalk of a lifetime. We have done our homework and know just where these bulls go after the mating season has taken its toll on them. As these solitary bulls regain their mass after the rut season, it is not uncommon to find more than one bull though. Making this a hunt that will give you the hunter an opportunity to pick your bull. Expect shots out to 800 yards. Our early & late rifle season Arizona bull elk trips are currently running at 100% harvest rate with a 100% shooting opportunity. Arizona Monster Muley Rifle Hunt, 1x1, All-Inclusive

Arizona is known for its monster muleys. Not only does the Arizona Strip and the Kaibab hold monster mule deer but the high country and vast southern desert bucks hold some records too. The most abundant deer in Arizona is the Rocky Mountain Mule Deer. Mule deer are found on all terrains from the low southern deserts to high forested northern and eastern mountains. Generally these mule deer prefer the more rugged Arizona high country and southeastern areas. Rifle seasons takes place in October, November, and December. In late November through December these bucks will be busy in pre rut and rut mode, chasing other bucks away from their doe and will make the trip even more rememberable. The rifle season will be cool to cold temperatures and the bucks can be up and about all day. Shots can be as close as 300 yards out to 800 yards. Knowing this, the hunter must start practicing long shooting distance before the season starts. This is a unique hunt on private land where hunts are conducted out of 4x4 trucks, making it feasible for elderly folks or those with difficulty walking. We have been operating out of our Candy Dan Camp for over 25 years. DL Elk Outfitters conducts guided rifle elk hunts on over 70,000 private acres in the Big Belt Mountains in central Montana. These private lands are home to some of Montana’s largest resident elk herds. We are not dependent on migrations or heavy snows to push the elk out of areas we cannot hunt, giving our hunters a high chance of success. The country is rich in large grass meadows for feed to ridges and draws of timber, making excellent habitat. Elk hunters access the hunting areas by 4-wheel drive vehicles and hiking to vantage spots and glassing for bull elk. (No horses or pack strings here.) Only bull elk with brow tines are legal in our area to harvest and that means 5, 6, and 7 point bulls are the norm here rather than the exception. Elk hunters average glassing more than 100 elk per week on our hunts. Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer are available on all elk hunts and make for a great combo. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack. Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of most rewarding and most beautiful trophies. Our Coues hunts are conducted in the vast, rugged desert mountains of southeastern Arizona, with Tucson being the closest major city. The hunting technique for Coues deer involves choosing a good vantage point and spending hours glassing through high-powered binoculars and spotting scopes. The Coues bucks may be spotted over a mile away. Once a trophy Coues buck is located, the spot and stalk method is used to get within shooting range. The canyons where Coues deer live are usually big and open. Rifle hunters should be prepared for shooting distances from 200 yards to 500 yards, if the need arises. Bow hunters typically take shots at ranges from 30 to 60 yards, since it is really open terrain. Because of the topography, high-powered riflescopes on top of lightweight flat-shooting rifles with a bipod are a "must have." Recommended rifle calibers are the .25-06 up to .300 Magnums. We do not recommend smaller calibers. Rifle season hunts are conducted during three timeframes, which are: late October, early November, and late December. Our Archery Coues hunts are conducted during the month of January when they are in full rut. SUCCESS RATES: We are proud to say that many of our rifle Coues seasons have ended with a 100% success rate! Nearly all of our past Coues hunters have been presented with opportunity.
