Florida Gator Hunt

Our hunts normally start out between 9-10 a.m unless otherwise scheduled to take place earlier/later. Upon arrival we will meet up with you and discuss what size gator you're after, and make sure each person participating in the hunt has obtained the proper licensing needed. After going over the details of the hunt and getting each participants waiver signed, we then head out to do a spot-and-stalk type hunt. We will be hunting by foot and using 4x4 side by sides to hunt from. Once we have located the right size gator you‘re after we’ll use offshore style fishing rods to snag the gator with a treble hook, and hand the rod off the hunter to fight the gator up to the bank. From there on out it is up to you to collect your trophy by using a bangstick, handgun, bow, etc. to take the gator. Once the hunt is finished we will be sure to take plenty of pictures, bring the kills back to our processing facility, and discuss taxidermy options. Gator hunts have a base price of $900 for a 6-7' gator, but then increase based on the size: $1,200 for 7-8', $1,500 for 8-9', $2,250 for 9-10', $3,570 for 10-11', $6,500 for 11-12', $10,000 for 12-12.5', $12,500 for 12.5-13', and $15,000 for 13'+. Non–hunter member add ons: If people in your party/group are not going to participate in the hunt, they do not need any license or permit. All spectators are welcome to come along on your Townsend & Sons hunt free of charge. However, if they are 16 years old or older and would like to help you hunt alligators, they will also need to purchase the $51.50 Alligator Farming Agent License. Youth, ages 15 and younger, do not need an Agent License to assist in Alligator hunting. What to Wear: We recommend wearing a lightweight short or long sleeve shirt, close-toed shoes, and long pants. We leave it totally up to you to wear what you will feel you most comfortable in. It's not necessary to wear camouflage, but we typically wear neutral or earth toned colors (green, brown, black, etc.) If you are sensitive to the sun we recommend wearing a hat, as well as sunscreen. Bug spray is always a great idea as we never seem to have a shortage of bugs here in south Florida!

Fall Alaska Coastal Brown Bear Hunt - Yacht Based

Brown Bear hunting in Alaska is often considered the pinnacle of the North American hunting experience. Limitless Feral Hog Hunt - Thermal

Feral hogs ranging in size from 20lbs to 350lbs or bigger roam the entirety of Stuart Ranch. Hunts take place mainly in blinds over a feeder, bait site, or food plot. 5-Day August Black Bear Hunt in Cardova

(Ursus Americanus- Latin Name) With plenty of food near the coastal areas of Cordova, our Black Bear have always been plentiful in the Cordova area, both during the spring and fall hunts. As always, we have goals, trying to achieve 6 foot or better, with an occasional 8 footer taken. Black Bear hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. But many times it’s a great starter hunt for the new young hunter to compatibility their parents or guardian. Depending on where you are hunting in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Black Bear spike camp is portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent is 8’X8’ or larger and is equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Again, Black Bear habitat varies from high covered snow peaks of their denning areas to the coastal grass areas during April, May and June. During the fall, most bears are hunted where berries are plentiful, either high up in the mountainous hillsides or low coastal areas where sometimes berries are thick. Once your trophy is taken, and it is then tagged, skinned and peeled, the meat is quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Black Bear meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova, that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Black Bear meat back with you, the meat will be donated to local elders or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once the Black Bear hide and skull are back at the lodge, hide is fleshed, ears, lips, nose, tail is turned and knuckles are out, it is then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of the season.

Katmai Brown Bear Hunt in Alaska Peninsula

Majestic Mountain Outfitters operates in an exclusive guide area in the Katmai National Park & Preserve on the Alaska Peninsula. We take a limited number of hunters which keeps our success rate high and the trophy quality great. The hunts are backpack, so you need to be in good shape to fully enjoy your experience. We take pride in managing the area which helps maintain the resource for years to come. On the Alaska Peninsula we hunt brown bear in the spring of even years (2018, 2020, 2022, etc.) and the fall of odd years (2017, 2019, 2021, etc.). Both the spring and fall hunts are 10 days. Our hunts are one-on-one and each hunter will be paired with their own guide for the entire hunt (unless requested otherwise). All of our guides are experienced, knowledgeable, and highly trained. We guide in an exclusive concession in the Katmai National Park and Preserve. We are the only outfitter allowed to guide in this area. We take care of this area, treating the land as if it was our own and managing the game so it will flourish. Click on the link at the bottom of the page to learn about how we take care of our concessions. We will be staying in 8x8 Arctic Oven tents (or similar) with cots. These tents are durable and waterproof all-season tents with a large vestibule for storage. They are tried & true and work great on the Peninsula with its unpredictable weather. We will also have smaller all-season tents for backup if something were to happen. The meals are freeze-dried for dinner and breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and plenty of snacks throughout the day. The client has to get to Anchorage, AK on a commercial plane. Then from Anchorage to Iliamna with Lake and Penn Air where we will meet you. The hunts are all backpack and you will need to be in good shape. It is spot and stalk hunting from a lookout and we may hike 1-5 miles a day. Success rates vary from client to client, but if you come in shape and can shoot well, we will have a great chance (85%) at filling your tag.

Oregon Black Bear Hunt

This year Craig and I decided to expand our usual hunting season and species. Fall and Spring Black Bear is definitely not something that either one of us has mastered. So as an introductory hunt we are offering it at a reduced price per day and kill fee. The kill fee does not change with the size of the bear. In the Spring Black Bears here in Oregon spend a lot of time grazing the south-facing slopes, eating skunk cabbage, and other easily accessible food sources. The warmer weather in the spring tends to bring them out in a hurry, one day they aren’t there and the next they are. The spring hunt will be very dependent on the weather as are most hunts regardless of the species. More than 75% of the hunting will be conducted on public ground. In the fall the hunting will be focused again around their easily accessible food sources such as salmonberries and blackberries. In the spring the surrounding hills and pastures are covered in fresh green grass. Oak trees covered in moss line the road to the lodge, among them you will find blooming daffodils in the spring and fall brings an array of autumn colors. No matter what season it is the setting is beautiful. The house has two televisions, one in the family room and the other in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a separate entrance, deck, and hot tub. Each morning a guide will wake you up and let you know how much time you have until your departure. Ronnie, Craig’s mom, or Becky, will do the majority or the cooking during your stay. Occasionally the staff at Applebee’s pitches in. If you are with us during Turkey season we may be eating in town at lunch time because a lot of the hunting leases are a bit of a drive from the house. Duck hunting in Colorado can be nothing short of amazing. Our placement against the Front Range Mountains of Northern Colorado forces migrating ducks to push against the mountains when the temperatures freeze them out of eastern Colorado and points north. Typically duck hunts begin to get worthwhile in late November. We get common puddle duck species like mallards, wigeon, teal, and gadwall, as well as other species like spoonbill, goldeneyes, canvasbacks, redheads, ringnecks, and three species of merganser. Arizona Guided Hunts also offers hunting options for the desert mule deer, primarily in southern Arizona. Mule deer hunting in Southern Arizona can provide a great opportunity for the first-time mule deer hunter or the hunter wanting a true desert mule deer to complete their slam. If you need your desert mule deer for the slam, this is a very unique and exciting hunting experience amongst desert terrain. Although there is potential to harvest bucks with larger racks, the mature Arizona desert mule deer bucks that we typically harvest in our hunt areas have racks from 18 to 25 inches wide and have 3 to 5 points per side. Considering this is the desert, deer densities cannot be high in such a dry environment. But, our guides have mastered the techniques and have done their scouting homework so that our hunters can see a significant number of deer, again, considering it is the desert. Our hunting style is the spot and stalk method. We hike to a good vantage point where a couple square miles can be seen at one time. Most of our mule deer hunting is done with our eyes through tripod-mounted optics. Once a good mule deer buck is spotted, we make our move from the vantage point for the final stalk. The terrain is very open, therefore rifle shots are usually over 300 yards and archery shots might exceed 50 yards. There may be a great deal of hiking involved, so hunters are encouraged to condition themselves to the best of their ability before arriving. Southern Arizona is home to the Javelina. Hunting seasons for this critter are during January through February. Javelina can be one of the most enjoyable game animals to hunt in Arizona. They are not pigs, nor are they even in the pig family. They are peccaries. Javelina are gregarious animals that live in a tight-knit family group of around 5 to 15 animals. The javelina groups are territorial with a home range of about a square mile and a half. The common name is the "collared peccary" because of a white ring of hair that circles the neck region. Javelina appear to be larger than they really are, but in actuality, they only weigh 35-60 pounds dressed-out. Javelina offer a very challenging hunt for the bowhunter, handgun hunter, crossbow hunter, muzzleloader hunter or even rifle hunter. Spot and stalk is the technique we use to hunt these unique animals. Our guides use high-powered optics to locate a herd. Javelina are low to the ground and blend into their surroundings very well, so they can often be a challenge to locate amongst the gray desert scrub. Once a group of peccary is located, a stalk can be planned. Hunters must keep the wind in their favor when making a stalk and be extremely quiet in order to get within a desired shooting distance. Because of their large canines, javelina make nice open-mouth mounts. If you are successful, a full-body mount of a snarling peccary (javelina) can be a very unique trophy. The meat from javelina is often made into sausage. Our favorite is jalapeno and cheese summer sausage or chorizo! Archery javelina hunts in January can be combined with archery Coues deer.

Our fresh water impoundments have the two ingredients essential for great puddle duck hunting- shallow water and a variety of natural foods.These impoundments provide ducks with high quality natural foods-wild rice, duck weed, smart weed and duck celery. These impoundments are 60-100 acres which means there is plenty of food throughout the gunning season. We also plant some wild rice each spring. These large impoundments are also big enough for birds to loaf on all day long without being disturbed. Also our impoundments are far apart which means we are hunting different bunches of birds to help keep our hunting consistently good. We like to use hand -carved cork decoys along with GHG decoys because of their realism and larger size. Most of the birds we are hunting travel in small bunches so 2-3 dozen decoys is plenty along with a few mojos when conditions dictate. We take a large variety of puddle ducks over the course of the season on these large impoundments. In the early season, (Oct -Nov) we mainly take smaller ducks- blue-wing teal, green-wing teal, wood ducks and mallards. In the late season, (Nov-Dec) we take a larger ducks and variety- a few straggler teal and wood ducks but mainly mallards and gadwall and some days pintail, widgeon and shovelers. We also take some Canada geese when conditions are right.

Arizona Black Bear Hunting, All Inclusive, OTC Tags

Arizona offers extraordinary trophy color phase bear hunting with many record book boars harvested every year in the southwest. We primarily hunt in late summer to early fall August - November. During this time bears are very active during the day time and spend majority of their day exploring for food. Bears come in many unique color phases, black, chocolate, cinnamon, and blonde. On our hunt expect to do a great deal of glassing, walking, and hiking on spot n stalk or behind hounds, so you must be in good physical shape. These hunts offer a lot of excitement and has a very high success rate. We use three main techniques to harvest our bears, the spot-and-stalk method, the calling method, and classic behind hounds pursuit. As our primary hunting technique, we trail behind hounds. Our second technique is spot-n-stalk, we hike to a good glassing point where a few square miles of terrain can be seen at one time. Once a mature bear is spotted, we plan our stalk. Expect to take rifle shots across big canyons, so a bi-pod or tall standing shooting tripod, good high-power riflescope, and a big, flat-shooting caliber is highly recommended. Rifle shots on spot n stalk average 500+ yards, but be prepared for any distance (longer or shorter) if the need arrises. If you are a bowhunter, this Arizona spot and stalk bear hunt is the ultimate challenge. Rifle or hand gun shots behind hounds is 20 out to 50 yard shot placement. As a proven third technique, we use electronic predator call and utilize hand calling. Sometimes black bears prefer to stay in the thick oak brush, dense pinon pines, tall manzantia, prickly pear slopes, and juniper thickets where they eat acorns, pinon nuts, berries, cactus fruit, or juniper berries. These areas have thicker vegetation and allow for limited glassing. If this is where the bears are located at the time of your hunt, we may use limited glassing and use a predator call. This technique is an exciting way to pull a bear out of the brush and within shooting distance. The OTC tags and licenses for our trophy Arizona black bear hunts are purchased online and do not need to be drawn.

We will be camped where preseason scouting has indicated bear activity and where I believe we can hunt effectively. We will do all of our hunting on these hunts in hunting boots, not waders, and do a lot of glassing hillsides, mountains, and drainages. Unless other arrangements are made, I will be your guide. In a perfect world, an employee would care about the business as much as the owner. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. I do all of my own guiding unless other arrangements are made. It is comforting for you to know that the guy who is cashing your check (me) is the same guy who will accompany you in the field (me). I put my reputation on the line every time I cash a check. When researching a hunt, you should ask to speak with ALL of the clients who hunted the same time you are considering hunting the previous year. It is foolish to consider booking a hunt with an outfitter before you speak with hunters who have hunted the same time and place during the previous season. It is important to know ahead of time what you are getting for your money. I am proud of the attention I give each client before, during, and after the hunt. Most importantly, DON'T CONSIDER BOOKING A HUNT WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT WILLING TO GIVE YOU PHONE NUMBERS AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESSES OF ALL OF THEIR CLIENTS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR. The state regulations require salvaging the head and hide only on brown bears. I encourage hunters to take home the meat of brown bears in the "ethics" mind set. I am picking up the tab to ship the meat back to Anchorage because I like to see hunters make some use out of the meat. It is not required, but I encourage it. 10-Day Moose and Black Bear Hunt in Cardova - Fall

All Moose hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. Depending on where you are hunt in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Moose spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Moose country is very flat in this area, can be dry, but normally wet and boggy area where they live. Once your trophy is taken, it is then tagged, caped, quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Moose meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova, that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Moose meat back with you, the meat will be donated to a local elders or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once Moose rack and cape are back at the lodge, caped is fleshed, ears, lips, nose and bell is turned and then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of October. Over the past 30 years, we have placed in the top three 26 times in Alaska’s APHA/SCI awards program. Again, Black Bear habitat varies from high covered snow peaks of their denning areas to the coastal grass areas near the coastal areas, during April, May and June. During the fall, most bears are hunted where berries are plentiful, either high up in the mountainous hillsides or low coastal areas where sometimes berries are thick. Once your trophy is taken, and it is then tagged, skinned and peel, the meat is quartered and packed out to the extraction point. Arizona is known for its monster muleys. Not only does the Arizona Strip and the Kaibab hold monster mule deer but the high country and vast southern desert bucks hold some records too. The most abundant deer in Arizona is the Rocky Mountain Mule Deer. Mule deer are found on all terrains from the low southern deserts to high forested northern and eastern mountains. Generally, these mule deer prefer the more rugged Arizona high country and southeastern areas. Rifle seasons take place in October, November, and December. In late November through December, these bucks will be busy in pre-rut and rut mode, chasing other bucks away from their doe and will make the trip even more memorable. The rifle season will be cool to cold temperatures and the bucks can be up and about all day. Shots can be as close as 300 yards out to 800 yards. Knowing this, the hunter must start practicing long shooting distance before the season starts. Our Florida whitetail deer hunts are conducted on approximately 9,800 acres of private land. All land is quality managed and has been since the early 1930's. Clients are encouraged to harvest mature whitetails; however, we do follow the state of Florida rules and regulations minimum requirement of 3 points on one side for antlered deer. At Black Tine Outfitters, we don't have second jobs; we maintain feeders, food plots, and mineral sites on a yearly basis. The Seminole whitetail can be very challenging. It is often compared to hunting its sub-species, the coues deer, to the west. Terrain is thick and oftentimes marshy. Florida's unpredictable climate combined with its extreme humidity can make the practice of quality scent control almost impossible. The rut season for the Seminole whitetail can also be very unpredictable as our seasonal temperatures can vary dramatically day to day causing the rut to inconsistently "turn on" and "turn off." Clients are encouraged to take their hunt seriously and apply the basic fundamentals of whitetail hunting to their hunt with us, as harvesting a mature Seminole whitetail can be difficult but is also a well-respected trophy. The average 4 1/2 year old buck harvested on our farms typically scores between 100"-115" and will weigh approximately 145-170 lbs depending on time of year.

We conduct all of our thermal hog hunts on over 10,000 privately owned acres. We not only hunt the agricultural fields we also hunt in the woods over our feed sources and food plots. The Gopher Plantation staff plants over 200 acres of food plots for wildlife. Not only do our deer and turkey benefit from this but also our wild hog population. It’s not uncommon to find 4-6 groups of hogs on a 3-hour thermal hunt with us all while literally hunting out of our back door. You can add hours to your thermal hog hunt and increase the shooting opportunities. If you don’t have any thermal equipment for hog hunting at night, no problem we have you covered. We have 10 guns set up with Pulsar thermal scopes and suppressors at your disposal. The guides also have 3 sets of Pulsar thermal binoculars to spot hogs throughout your hunt. We also provide shooting sticks, snacks, and a cooler with drinks so literally all you have to do is show up. If you have your own thermal night hunting equipment or have picked up some new toys and need a place to use them, feel free to bring them on your hunt as well.

Colorado Bear Hunt-Bow

With the increase in the number of Black Bear in Colorado the Colorado Division of Wildlife has now available Private Land Bear Licenses for Colorado Bear Hunts. There is no drawing for these September Bear Licenses. This will be a spot and stalk Colorado Bear Hunt in the canyons and mesas of Western Colorado using either a rifle or bow. Hunters will be staying at the Packrat Camp on the rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison with food, lodging, and 1×1 guide service at this famous elk camp.

2-Day Guided Coyote Hunt

Bearpaw Outfitters offer guided and unguided coyote hunts and coyote hunting information for numerous areas in Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington. Coyotes can be hunted year around in all four states and they can be hunted in combination with other species which may be in season. Bearpaw Outfitters know the best hotspots for hunting Coyotes and they also lease thousands of acres of the best private ranches for their hunts. Any necessary licenses are sold over the counter, hunters of any age can buy licenses in Washington. Coyote Hunting is good most anytime of the year, but late spring, early summer, and mid-winter can be especially good. Shot opportunity on guided coyote hunts is usually 50% to 100%. Unguided hunts could range anywhere from 0% to 100%. Shooting distances can vary from 5 yards to 300 yards. Sight your rifle dead on at 200 yards. Private Ranches: These properties range in size from 50 acres to 2500 acres and offer excellent hunting. These properties are perfect for hunters with the patience to sit and watch or call. Mountain Hunts: Hunts are conducted in numerous proven mountain locations where there are good numbers of coyotes.

Arizona Rocky Mountain Rifle Elk Hunt, 1x1, 6-Day - No Lodging

Our rocky mountain elk hunts are featured in the heart of Arizona. Hunters need to be prepared to endure all possible weather conditions. It is important that clients be in good physical hiking condition to endure the Arizona terrain and to gain that edge to connect with your trophy bull. The average bull scores 300+ inches up to 400 inches depending on time frame of the season and unit. We only hunt for big mature bulls with the great possibility of harvesting a Pope and Young in the respected trophy units in Arizona. You will be given the same professional service no matter what the time frame is or the unit you will be hunting in. We offer two types of rifle trips, for those who are lucky enough to draw an early season rifle tag. The early tag hunt will find you setting up on post rut bulls. This hunt is exciting for us as guides to find those bulls finishing up the rut. It is our chance to get within rifle distance of those bulls. Your guide will also utilize calling, spot and stalking, and setting up at strategic ambush sites. If a huge bull is your goal, then this trip will provide you with the opportunity to reach or exceed that goal. Our late season hunt is slower paced than the early season hunt. We will spend time glassing up bulls and then making that stalk of a lifetime. We have done our homework and know just where these bulls go after the mating season has taken its toll on them. As these solitary bulls regain their mass after the rut season, it is not uncommon to find more than one bull though, making this a hunt that will give you the hunter an opportunity to pick your bull. Expect shots out to 800 yards. Our early & late rifle season Arizona bull elk trips are currently running at 100% harvest rate with a 100% shooting opportunity. Our most productive methods of hunting these bulls is by glassing and stalking with an emphasis on glassing. This hunt includes guiding and field services such as daily transportation to hunting grounds, guide services, game retrieval, but doesn't include lodging or meals.
