All of our hunts are fair chase and based from our vessel the Western Profit. For bear hunts, hunters will be accompanied by one of our guides in skiffs to locate bears, and then put ashore for the stalk. In the Sitka area, on Baranof and Chichagof islands, have some of the highest brown bear populations in the world. The brown bear represents the spirit of Alaska, especially in Sitka. Strength & Untamed. This is the ultimate challenge for hunters looking for a True Fair chase hunt in Southeast Alaska’s Tongass National Forest. Our Brown bear hunt is exclusive for two (2) hunters per 10 day trip. One on one – one guide per hunter, ensuring optimum success for each hunter. Individual hunter success for the last five years has been 85%-100%! Brown, Grizzlies and Kodiaks were once thought to be separate sub-species; however, it is generally agreed now that they are the same species. The Brown bear, so named because he lives within 50 miles of the sea and usually supplements his diet with Salmon, is much larger than the inland grizzly. The Brown Bear is the largest land carnivore on earth, although there is some dispute over his cousin the Polar Bear, which spends the bulk of his life on ice flows. Admiralty, Baranof, and Chichagof Islands in Southeast Alaska have the densest populations of Brown Bear in the world. In general, bear hunting is more relaxed than many other hunts. Typically, the hunt will not begin until afternoon when things have warmed up a bit and bears are more active. So sleeping in is actually a thing on bear hunts! Typically a leisurely breakfast aboard the boat is followed up by a few hours of relaxing glassing, where all manner of animals from bears, whales, deer, sea otters, harbor seals, eagles, and any number of other species may be observed. Not to mention the amazing scenery that is Southeast Alaska. Or if you’re lucky, go pull up a pot of Dungeness crab for lunch/dinner! Next comes lunch, which tends to be the heaviest meal of the day. After that, hunters and guides launch in the skiffs to begin the hunt. Hunting style, locales, and equipment differ between spring and fall, so we will break those out a bit more below. Spring sees brown bears emerging from their long hibernation in search of their first meal in many months. They look for sedge grass flats along the edge of the water. Sedge grass stalks are spiky, wide, and stiff, but the sedge grass is up to 25% protein at this time of the year. Consuming large quantities of fresh sedge grass helps replenish the lack of proteins during hibernation and restart the digestive system. During the spring, hunters and guides will use skiffs to locate bears and do an initial evaluation on size, quality, and whether a stalk is possible based on current conditions and location. Once a potential bear is located, the real excitement begins as the guide works with the hunter to get on land to stalk close enough to get a better view and make a final decision on whether to harvest the bear. This can be extremely tricky as bears have an incredible sense of smell, and the slightest shift in the wind can alert the bear, who will then quickly disappear back into the arboreal rain forest. Because bears are more wary after emerging from the den in the spring, archery hunting can be a real challenge. While it is not impossible to archery hunt brown bears in the spring, it is much more difficult than the fall when bears tend to congregate around salmon streams and are focused on putting on as much fat as possible to help them survive hibernation. While Spring in Alaska is typically warmer than either the Fall or Winter, it can still be chilly out on the water, and rain can definitely be a significant factor during the hunt. You may also run into warm sunny days, with chilly evenings during the return to the boat, so having the right gear will make all the difference in the world. 4.5 Day Columbia Blacktail Deer Archery RUT Hunt in Oregon

On this hunt we will spend time on public and private land. You will have the choice of how you would like to hunt. In the fall Craig and I will spend a lot of time out scouting and setting up tree stands and blinds. On top of stand and blind hunting, we will also be doing spot and stalk hunting. Oregon offers some of the best Blacktail hunting available, this time of year is always exciting and full of action as the deer will be rutting around. Fall Black Bear is during the same time as late archery Blacktail season so you will have the choice of hunting one or the other or both bucks and bears. Your stay with Fins and Feathers guide service will take place at the “ranch house”. The 4 bedroom 3 bath home is nestled in some of the most beautiful country that Douglas County has to offer. In the spring the surrounding hills and pastures are covered in fresh green grass. Oak trees covered in moss line the road to the lodge, among them you will find blooming daffodils in the spring and fall brings an array of autumn colors. No matter what season it is the setting is beautiful. The house has two televisions, one in the family room and the other in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a separate entrance, deck, and hot tub. Each morning a guide will wake you up and let you know how much time you have until your departure. Ronnie, Craig’s mom, or Becky, will do the majority or the cooking during your stay. Occasionally the staff at Applebee’s pitches in. Breakfast will be available along with coffee and other beverages. Meals are flexible and we do our best to accommodate your taste. Lunch is always available; however it will not always be served at the house. If you are with us during Turkey season we may be eating in town at lunch time because a lot of the hunting leases are a bit of a drive from the house. Dinner will be served each evening when your hunt is complete. The house has two family rooms one with the television and the other a fireplace and two couches. Everyone here at the house strives to make your stay a lasting memory. We all enjoy what we do and getting to know all our guests. Archery Javelina & Coues Deer Combo, 2x1

Southern Arizona is home to the Javelina. Hunting seasons for this critter are during January through February. Javelina can be one of the most enjoyable game animals to hunt in Arizona. They are not pigs, nor are they even in the pig family. They are peccaries. Javelina are gregarious animals that live in a tight-knit family group of around 5 to 15 animals. The javelina groups are territorial with a home range of about a square mile and a half. The common name is the "collared peccary" because of a white ring of hair that circles the neck region. Javelina appear to be larger than they really are, but in actuality, they only weigh 35-60 pounds dressed-out. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack. Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of most rewarding and most beautiful trophies.

Trophy deer hunts in Northwest Florida. The property is located eight (8) miles north of Blountstown, Florida. Located just 35 miles west of Tallahassee in the Famous Florida panhandle. Access is easy from anywhere. We have four miles of beautiful river frontage on the Apalachicola River. We also maintain 20 food plots and 20 bait stations year-round. Bow hunters will enjoy success on our 4,000 acre archery only plantation that has been trophy managed for the last 19 years. Hunters can come by themselves or in a group. If you come by yourself we will pair you with one other hunter who came by themselves to pair you as a group. Your group will be assigned an exclusive portion of the property and your guide will then show you active trails and food sources within your exclusive portion of the property. Your guide will recommend areas for you to hang your stands. Most hunters have shot opportunities the first day. Our hunts are semi-guided and are perfect for the veteran bow hunter or the beginner. We have a lot of first-time bow hunters harvest their first animal with Southern Arrowhead Outfitters. If you are tired of hunting public land with low or no success or tired of paying the high cost of being a hunt club member, come hunt with us. We do all the hard work for you, all you have to do is show up, hang your stands and start hunting a private, managed, archery only plantation where you will have high success. You provide your own stand(s), license and personal needs. The hunts are five days and you may harvest two bucks, one doe, and one hog. By now you have probably seen thermal hog hunting videos of a group of gunners all in a line in a large agricultural field sighting in on a large group of hogs in front of them. If this is a hunt you’ve always wanted to do but have never tried, you’ve found the right place. The Gopher Plantation hog hunting guides have fine-tuned their thermal hunts to guarantee an opportunity at free-range hogs every hunt. We conduct all of our thermal hog hunts on over 10,000 privately owned acres. We not only hunt the agricultural fields we also hunt in the woods over our feed sources and food plots. The Gopher Plantation staff plants over 200 acres of food plots for wildlife. Not only do our deer and turkey benefit from this but also our wild hog population. It’s not uncommon to find 4-6 groups of hogs on a 3-hour thermal hunt with us all while literally hunting out of our back door. You can add hours to your thermal hog hunt and increase the shooting opportunities. If you don’t have any thermal equipment for hog hunting at night, no problem we have you covered. We have 10 guns set up with Pulsar thermal scopes and suppressors at your disposal. The guides also have 3 sets of Pulsar thermal binoculars to spot hogs throughout your hunt. Professional California quail hunting guide and outfitter in Northern California. As the name implies valley quail inhabit lower elevation valleys throughout California. They can also be found higher in altitude along the mountain foothills and high desert riparian areas. Fall Bear Hunt

Montana black bear are fair game in both the fall and spring! Color phase bears in shades of cinnamon, chocolate, and blonde are seen more frequently than jet black bears. In fact, the Swan Valley is home to some of the best black bear hunting in Montana. Our bear hunts often utilize horses, which makes us a very unique option for guided bear hunts in Montana. Montana bear hunting in our area is pure fair chase, no baiting or use of dogs, in fact we can’t even use scents. The Swan Valley is one of the few areas in Montana that remains open for black bear hunting until June 15th. In the spring these animals are very active. They consolidate in numbers on the valley floor taking advantage of the new growth to bulk up after hibernation. Using a combination of horses and hiking, we’ll hunt rockslides, search old logging roads and mountain meadows for scat and sit clear cuts. While most people are wrapping up their hunting season, we are gearing up for some of our most exciting and favorite hunts of the year. Hunting mountain lions allows you to extend your hunting season and experience an exciting adrenaline-packed adventure. Our season opens Dec. 1st and extends through the end of March. We are usually done by mid February due to quota being meet or weather conditions no longer holding with good running conditions. With the abundance of deer in unit 54, mountain lions are in good supply. Mountain lions are an extremely elusive animal seldom seen in the wild. We run these big cats during the winter months when snow is plentiful allowing us to easily cut their tracks. We hunt out of 4 wheel drive vehicles and off snowmobiles allowing us to cover more ground. Once a tom track is located, the chase is on in hopes of treeing him with the aid of our experienced well-trained hounds, for whom we have the utmost respect and love. Western Illinois Free Range Whitetail Hunt - Archery Late Season

The acres your hunt will take place on are very strictly managed. South Fork hunters are required to harvest at minimum 140 inch, 3 ½ year old bucks. Having these practices in place for years has only made a good thing that much better. In addition to the doe’s that our hunters harvest, we take heard surveys that enable us to go through late season and remove doe’s in highly populated areas. As a whole – the areas you will be hunting have an excellent doe-to-buck ratio (2 or 3-to-1). Hunter to acre ratio is also very important. Low pressure is a huge part of harvesting mid-west whitetail deer. Here at South Fork, we keep ample ground for the numbers of hunters we run, with some farms not being hunted for entire seasons. This is all to ensure South Fork ground will remain the best of the best. We take stand location very seriously. This is crucial when getting close to giant Illinois bruisers. The wind and thermals are taken into consideration on every set. The stand set ups are for stealth entry and exits. Stand location is one of the biggest keys to a successful hunt- second only to having a piece of great managed whitetail ground. All stands are set by South Fork Guides that have years of experience and the bucks to prove it! The rule of thumb we live by is “if we wouldn’t hunt it, we won’t hang it!” We are as excited to get you into the stand that we hung, as you are to be in it. It’s like we are hunting with you. Our sets consist of hang–on’s with climbing sticks (20′-25′); ladder stands (16′-20′); shooting houses (7′-10′); and assorted ground blinds. We utilize over 70+ Shadowhunter Blinds to provide our gun hunters with a comfortable and solid shooting setup. Our outfit is pleased to offer quality hunting trips for the Coues Whitetailed Deer in southern Arizona near Tucson. The Coues Deer is considered one of the most prized and most challenging deer species for North American trophy hunters. This petite deer is the smallest huntable sub-species of the whitetailed deer and weighs between 70 - 100 lbs. dressed out. Mature bucks normally have 8 total points on the rack. The minimum Coues deer score for Pope and Young is 70 inches and the minimum score for Boone and Crockett is 110 inches. The Coues Whitetail is classified under a separate category in all record books because of its small, tight rack. Even the World's Record typical Coues deer (144-1/8" B&C taken by Ed Stockwell in 1953) would not make it into the Boone and Crockett book if scored and categorized under the Eastern whitetail standards. That is the reason for the separate category for this unique deer species. Hunters that have taken all the species in the "deer slam" usually consider the Coues deer one of the most rewarding and most beautiful trophies. Our Coues hunts are conducted in the vast, rugged desert mountains of southeastern Arizona, with Tucson being the closest major city. The hunting technique for Coues deer involves choosing a good vantage point and spending hours glassing through high-powered binoculars and spotting scopes. The Coues bucks may be spotted over a mile away. Once a trophy Coues buck is located, the spot and stalk method is used to get within shooting range. The canyons where Coues deer live are usually big and open. Rifle hunters should be prepared for shooting distances from 200 yards to 500 yards, if the need arises. Bow hunters typically take shots at ranges from 30 to 60 yards since it is really open terrain. Because of the topography, high-powered riflescopes on top of lightweight flat-shooting rifles with a bipod are a "must-have." Recommended rifle calibers are the .25-06 up to .300 Magnums. We do not recommend smaller calibers. Rifle season hunts are conducted during three timeframes, which are: late October, early November, and late December. Our Archery Coues hunts are conducted during the month of January when they are in full rut. SUCCESS RATES: We are proud to say that many of our rifle Coues seasons have ended with a 100% success rate! Nearly all of our past Coues hunters have been presented with opportunity.

You will have the opportunity to hunt several private ranches (42,000 acres). We hunt our Pronghorn with spot and stalk tactics and strategically placed Pop-Up Ground Blinds over waterholes and stock tanks. We enjoy a 100% Opportunity rate. With an average score of 78", we target mature bucks and bucks scoring 80". Jackson County boasts a large herd of Pronghorn, most of which migrate to lower elevations in Wyoming to escape the brutal winters that come to North Park every year. Tags in our units are very tough to draw. In 2018, it took 16 points for both a Resident and a Non-Resident to draw a license. However, there are a limited number of landowner vouchers available to us, and due to the very limited draw in these units, there are some giant Bucks that inhabit the area! Many B&C and P&Y entries come from our units every year. In order to have us apply for a landowner voucher, we require a hunt deposit of 50% of the hunt cost. We have been able to draw archery, muzzle-loaders, and rifle vouchers in most years. This is also a great hunt to combine with our August/September Elk Hunts. Hunt wapiti in the morning and afternoon and pronghorn in the middle of the day. Who needs a nap when you can have a full-on adrenaline rush all day?

Arizona is our bread and butter. It’s where we started, where we live, train, and scout the most. Our Arizona upland hunts are primarily based in Southern Arizona and we focus on the three species of quail located there - Gambels, Scaled, and Mearns quail. We also conduct some hunts in northern and central Arizona as requested, but those are only for Gambels quail. We will recommend a lodging location based on the species you desire to hunt. Arizona is our home turf. All of our guides are local to the area and know this quail country extremely well. 10-Day Moose and Black Bear Hunt in Cardova - Fall

All Moose hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. Depending on where you are hunt in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Moose spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Moose country is very flat in this area, can be dry, but normally wet and boggy area where they live. Once your trophy is taken, it is then tagged, caped, quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Moose meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova, that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Moose meat back with you, the meat will be donated to a local elders or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once Moose rack and cape are back at the lodge, caped is fleshed, ears, lips, nose and bell is turned and then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of October. (Alces Alces-Latin Name) – Alaska-Yukon Moose is the largest of the moose family, weighing in at close to 1400 pounds and over 7 feet tall at the shoulders. The Cordova, Alaska area has been known for over 30 years as one of the top places in the world for record class Moose, with some of the top SCI record class Moose coming from this area. Over the past 30 years, we have placed in the top three 26 times in Alaska’s APHA/SCI awards program. Here at the TSIU Lodge we strive in taking 60 inches or better with our largest reaching 80 inches. If someone were to ask me, what the chances are of achieving a trophy class moose, I would say, yes the genetics are there. Remember, one of my goals as your professional hunter, is for you to achieve your trophy of course. But the most important goal for me as your professional hunter, is to conduct a safe, enjoyable, most of all, memorable safari adventure. (Ursus Americanus- Latin Name) With plenty of food near the coastal areas of Cordova, our Black Bear have always been plentiful in the Cordova area, both during the spring and fall hunts. As always, we have goals, trying to achieve 6 foot or better, with an occasional 8 footer taken. Black Bear hunts are conducted 1X1 (one guide, one client) to ensure your ultimate success. But many times it’s a great starter hunt for the new young hunter to compatibility their parents or guardian. Depending on where you are hunt in the Cordova area, both client and guide are transported by the use of small aircraft the day before your hunt begins. Each Black Bear spike camp are portable and removable to assure the best possible area to hunt. Each spike camp tent are 8’X8’ or larger and are equipped with cots and heaters for your comfort. Again, Black Bear habitat varies from high covered snow peaks of their denning areas to the coastal grass areas near the coastal areas, during April, May and June. During the fall, most bears are hunted where berries are plentiful, either high up in the mountainous hillsides or low coastal areas where sometimes berries are thick. Once your trophy is taken, and it is then tagged, skinned and peel, the meat is quartered and packed out to the extraction point. You are welcome to take your Black Bear meat back with you, and I can direct you to a local butcher in Cordova, that can process the meat for you. If you choose not to take your Black Bear meat back with you, the meat will be donated to a local elders or local charity in Cordova, never wasted. Once the Black Bear hide and skull are back at the lodge, hide is fleshed, ears, lips, nose, tail is turned and knuckles are out, it is then salted. Trophies are normally shipped from lodge to my expeditor in Anchorage, at the end of the season.

Over-The-Counter Bear Hunt Using Pack Llamas

Premier archery and general season black bear hunting guide in California. Bear tags can be bought over-the-counter and are valid for a large chunk of the state. It’s no secret that California has a lot of bears, including both large and color phase bears. Our hunts provide the opportunity to explore remote regions of Northern California where we have permits to access thousands of acres of forest that host a robust bear population. Guides start hitting the mountains in the summer scouting for bears. We’ve had eyes on dozens of bears before the season begins. Food sources change throughout the year and the key to finding bears is to find the food. Our guides will have several feeding locations scouted before guests arrive and we will put you in the ideal location to glass for bears getting fat before winter. We have a team of pack llamas to haul in comfortable camps and aid in game retrieval. Similar to deer hunts we offer two styles of hunts to suite the guest(s) preferences: A true wilderness experience where we will camp deep in the backcountry. Hunts closer to the road system where we spike out for the day but make camp in dispersed or designated camping areas near roads Both approaches are physically demanding and require rising early and long days of glassing. Days can be hot, but we get our fair share of cold or even snow at times. The Hunt A bear hunt begins before first light where we will move to a vantage point where bears are known to frequent. Bears are almost constantly moving unless they’ve found a reliable food source. Once we’ve spotted a bear we will assess whether it’s a mature boar and that it meets the guests expectations. Next we will determine if it’s coming, going, or staying – and plan our stalk accordingly. In the early season it’s not uncommon to see 6-10 bears in a day. As the season progresses into late October and November, especially after severe storms, we tend to see less bears. The ones we do see in the late season are big, fat, and have beautiful coats. Bears are most active at dusk and dawn, however, we’ve killed bears throughout the day and will continue glassing until we find the right bear, switching our position occasionally to move to a new vantage. Even big bears can be hard to spot as they move about the brush. As evening approaches, we will make sure to be in a good glassing position as the bears begin filtering into openings. As darkness closes in we will head back to camp for a solid meal, story-telling, and a good night’s sleep. After a kill we immediately field process the animal to get it cooled off. Depending on the weather we may hang the hide and meat in camp or use the llamas to pack meat out to the vehicle and put it on ice. Bear hunts are often combined with deer hunts when the seasons overlap. If a shot is made and blood is drawn, that’s considered your animal whether recovered or not. Be proficient with your weapon of choice.

Trophy Dall Hunt Sheep in Perfect Habitat

Our Alaska Dall sheep hunt takes place primarily in the historically game rich country of the Central Range east of the Alaska Denali National Park. These Alaska hunting trips are ten days in duration and begin in early August and end on the 20th of September. Alaska has long been renowned as some of the most pristine and productive Dall Sheep habitat anywhere. The Sheep population has been steady and most of the hunters get their sheep with a little luck and a whole lot of hard work! The average Alaska Dall Sheep Ram is 35-36 inches long with 13’+ bases. We do typically take several Rams a year in the 38′-40’+ range. The Alaska Range Rams are known for their wide flaring and light colored horns and make a fine addition to any hunters trophy room. A typical Sheep hunts entail riding up and down various drainages looking for a respectable Ram to go after. We like to tell hunters that they can expect to have a 5-7 hour, fairly arduous, climb from the time they leave the horses until they pull the trigger. The guide will cape and prepare the trophy and meat for the pack back to the horses. The guide will carry all the meat (100-120 lbs.) and we expect the client to carry the trophy (35lbs. for a shoulder mt. and 65-75 lbs. for a full body mt.) back to the horses. For this reason we require the client to bring a backpack of at least 3500 cu. in. capacity. Quite often we can hunt Alaska dall sheep right out of my two main camps but on occasion we will spike out for 2-5 days looking for a respectable ram to harvest. When we do we’ll be staying in a good quality four season mountain tent and eating freeze dried food until we can add some fresh Alaska Dall Sheep to the menu. These hunts require the hunter to be both physically fit and have the mental toughness to stay positive when mother nature and the elements may seem to be conspiring against us. The horses allow us to cover an infinite amount of country as compared to backpack hunting for the Dall Sheep. Mountain Goat Hunt on Baranof Island

Goat hunting requires us to go up into the mountains of Baranof Island where the goats live. It is definitely more strenuous than a bear hunt, but the views, and the experience, are well worth it! Mountain Goat hunts are conducted in October and we will be camping at an altitude of around 3,000 feet. So hunters should expect to encounter some chilly temperatures during the hunt. Layered clothing appropriate for both hiking and extended periods glassing for goats will definitely be required, as will comfortable, and well broken in hiking boots. Time will be spent glassing for the right goat that is in an accessible location, both for the harvest, and the retrieval.

In the eastern part of the San Luis Valley, located in GMU 82, The Great Sand Dunes National Preserve offers 32,000 acres of over-crowed elk also known as the “sand dunes herd”. On this hunt, you will be packing in horseback and staying in a tent with wood stove. Hunting packages are available for archery and rifle. Hunts are fully guided for 5 days, but plan on arriving a day or two early to get into the base camp and staying a day later if wanting to hunt the full 5 days. Our guided pack-in sand dune hunts will take place in prime country for trophy bull elk. Elevation ranges between 8,500-12,000 feet in the sand dunes. Boat-Based Alaska Black Bear Hunt, Fall

All of our hunts are fair chase and based from our vessel the Western Profit. For bear hunts, hunters will be accompanied by one of our guides in skiffs to locate animals, and then put ashore for the stalk. In the Sitka area, Kuiu island has the highest density black bear population anywhere in Alaska. There is also a healthy population of wolves on the island, and it is not unusual for hunters to have an opportunity at a wolf during black bear hunts. In general bear hunting is more relaxed than many other hunts. Typically the hunt will not begin until afternoon when things have warmed up a bit and bears are more active. So sleeping in is actually a thing on bear hunts! Typically a leisurely breakfast aboard the boat is followed up by a few hours of relaxing glassing where all manner of animals from bears, whales, deer, moose, sea otters, harbor seals, eagles and any number of other species may be observed. Not to mention the amazing scenery that is southeast Alaska. Or if you’re lucky, go pull up a pot of crabs for lunch/dinner! Next comes lunch, which tends to be the heaviest meal of the day. After that hunters and guides launch in the skiffs to begin the hunt. Hunting style, locales, and equipment differ between spring and fall, so we will break those out a bit more below. Fall brings streams full of spawning salmon to southeast Alaska. During this time bears are in the last desperate rush to pack on calories before the long winter hibernation. Egg laden salmon in the tight confines of a stream are a bonanza of high fat calorie protein, and the final significant feast before winter sets in and the bears den up until Spring. For this reason, bears are hyper focused on feeding, and it is not unusual to see large numbers in a small area simply feeding. During the Fall the focus shifts to these stream bound bears as they gorge themselves on salmon. It is common to see as many as 25 bears on a fall hunt. Hunters and guides will still use skiffs to go from the boat to shore, but then they follow the stream upward to find an appropriate location to observe bears as they come and go. The fall gives a better opportunity for archery hunters due to the close proximity of the bear. How close? Close enough to see the bear’s breath! Fall hunts are our favorite due to the amount of animal activity! Fall hunts tend to be colder and wetter than the Spring hunt, so the right gear, especially rain gear, is even more important.

Bearpaw Outfitters offer guided and unguided coyote hunts and coyote hunting information for numerous areas in Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington. Coyotes can be hunted year around in all four states and they can be hunted in combination with other species which may be in season. Bearpaw Outfitters know the best hotspots for hunting Coyotes and they also lease thousands of acres of the best private ranches for their hunts. Any necessary licenses are sold over the counter, hunters of any age can buy licenses in Washington. Coyote Hunting is good most anytime of the year, but late spring, early summer, and mid-winter can be especially good. Shot opportunity on guided coyote hunts is usually 50% to 100%. Unguided hunts could range anywhere from 0% to 100%. Shooting distances can vary from 5 yards to 300 yards. Sight your rifle dead on at 200 yards. Our exclusive guided predator hunts are offered on a daily rate basis or in multiple days. On our Arizona guided predator trips, we recommend our clients to book more than one day to pile up your Fur-Slam on your trip. A typical day of predator hunting takes place around either northern, eastern, & southern Arizona, and or on private ranches within the state in the higher & low desert areas in the heart of Arizona. When you see the eyes shining and hear the howling in the distance be prepared for some adrenaline flowing, heart pounding, and some quick shooting when the yotes come charging in! Whether you are a seasoned veteran, or looking for your first Predator Night Hunt we can cater a hunt to meet your needs. We offer custom guided night hunts from after sunset for 4.5 hours. Or you have the option of a half day/half night hunt at an additional price. Our night hunts are conducted from December through the end of May. For our clients that don't have Kill lights for their rifles or shot guns we have you covered at no additional charge! Arizona's Rim Country, including the high and low desert areas holds the most diverse predator habitat in the world. Our variety of predators ranges from coyotes, gray foxes, to bobcats, and majestic mountain lions as well. Predator hunting during the prime-time season or during the off-season or in between our big game hunts. Experience a true predator pursuit like none other in the southwest. Guiding the veteran predator hunter or instructing the beginner hunter is our passion. It is also a proven wildlife management tool for controlling the predator population in our prime hunting areas. We offer guided hunts that are second to none involving an electronic caller and utilizing custom made hand calls. Coyotes and foxes mostly fall victim to the call, but occasionally, a bobcat will stalk in to check out the situation. Be prepared for some point blank extreme excitement and fast shooting when any of these critters come charging or creeping into the stand. Bolt rifles & AR platform rifles are preferred for our trips since we hunt in the open country and these critters tend to be wary. Shot guns we prefer is a 12 gauge with 3" spread with #4 buck shot will do the job when we hunt the thick country. Ranges could be anywhere from point blank using a shot gun and out to 300 yards taken on centerfire shots, but the average shots taken is under 100 yards. Rimfire cartridges such as 17WSM, 22WMR, 22 Hornet, Centerfire cartridges .204, .223, .22-250, .243, .308, or the 6.5 will get it done. DATES: This hunt is available from December through the end of May. SUCCESS: Our Arizona Guided Predator Day/Night trips are currently running at 100% harvest rate with a 100% shot opportunity. Our most productive methods of hunting these critters is by utilizing an electronic caller and using custom made hand calls with an emphasis on using an electronic caller. BAG: Unlimited bag limit.

Fox & Coyote Hunt in Alaska

These hunts are conducted primarily by snowmobile in GMU’s 13 and 20. I run three different traplines encompassing over three hundred miles. If the hunter would like an opportunity to harvest a Lynx or Wolverine they will have to come join me in the dead of the Alaskan winter (December – February). I won’t promise warm weather but I will guarantee you some of the most scenic snowmobiling on earth and lots of it! Wolf hunting alaska style is always rewarding. We will do some calling for predators as well as setting traps and snares in locales that are likely spots to produce results. Typically we will snowmobile between 50-150 miles a day in search of Wolves, Wolverine, Lynx, Coyote and Fox. If you are looking to only do wolf hunting in Alaska then later in the winter is the prime time. We will stay at several of my cabins for two and three day stints looking for predators to call and/or trap. These hunts have become increasingly popular over the years so much so that I can’t even break away to attend a show to promote my business. If the hunter wants to harvest some of the most luxurious fur on the face of the earth then this hunt is for you.
